    Philips Professional Display Solutions and Nenda collaborate to launch next-generation TV experience for the hotel market

    Philips Professional Display Solutions is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Stockholm-based TV challenger, Nenda, to bring a new streaming service for hotel rooms that will revolutionise the way guests watch scheduled TV.


    This exciting collaboration will bring the powerful features of Philips Professional Display Solutions’ MediaSuite Pro TV –Android-powered, Google certified and Chromecast built-in – together with Nenda’s streaming service, to deliver next-generation TV entertainment to the hotel market. The aim is to ease complexity for integrators, reduce costs for hoteliers and to provide guests with up-to-date TV entertainment that goes far beyond today’s impersonal, schedule-bound TV experience. The solution will be tested during winter 2019 and spring 2020 in hotel chains and care companies in the Nordic region.

    Nenda’s streaming app is easily accessible, directly on the Philips MediaSuite TV, which means roll-out times are reduced to days, instead of weeks or even months. The solution also delivers a number of other practical benefits for hotels; for example, set-top boxes and central units are no longer required, which reduces hardware costs, bringing the total cost of ownership down and raising the return on investment.

     

    Customer satisfaction is also simple to measure through MediaSuite’s survey function, enabling hoteliers to send questionnaires directly to their guests via the TV.
