Tagliatelle with shrimp
 

 

Servings: 4 portions

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

olive oil

20 jumbo shrimp (not precooked)

350 g (12 oz) dry tagliatelle

1 onion

4 cloves of garlic

250 ml (8.5 oz) cream

chivesa dash of white wine

1 chicken stock cube

236 mL (1c) water

salt and white pepper

Preparation

 

1. Press "Menu", select "Brown/Sauté" on the multicooker and set the cooking time to 20 minutes. Press "Start/Cancel".

 

2. Finely chop the onion and crush the garlic in a garlic press.

 

3. When screen displays 15 minutes, pour a dash of olive oil into the hot multicooker and cook the onions, shrimp and garlic for 5 minutes.

 

4. Pour the cream, white wine, water, and tagliatelle into the multicooker and leave to simmer, with the lid closed, for 10 minutes. Half-way through cooking, stir then replace lid.

 

5. If the mixture becomes too thick because of the pasta, add a little water.

 

6. Season to taste with white pepper and salt.

Honey lemon chicken
 

Servings: 4 portions

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 110 minutes

Ingredients

1 chicken, approx. 1500 g (3.3 lb)

 

Stuffing:

2 tbsp olive oil

2 red onions

1 green zucchini

1 yellow zucchini

1 sweet apple

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped fresh chopped thyme

2 apricots

3 tbsp butter, melted

2 tsp poultry flavor  

75 g (3 oz) smoked bacon, chopped and browned pepper and salt

 

Marinade:

200 g (7 oz) honey

2 tbsp olive oil

Juice of 1 large lemon

Salt and ground pepper

4 tbsp butter

Preparation

 

1. Cut all ingredients for the stuffing into small cubes and mix with 2 tbsp melted butter in abowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

 

2. Stuff the chicken until completely filled, but not packed too tightly.

 

3. Pour 2 tbsp melted butter into inner pot. Press “Menu” button, select “Bake/Roast”. Bake chicken, top side down, for 10 minutes. Carefully turn chicken over and bake 10 more minutes. Sprinkle with freshly chopped thyme.

 

4. Warm honey and juice of one lemon in a pan and season with salt and pepper. Brush chicken with honey lemon mixture.

 

5. Press “Menu” button, select “Slow Cook” function and preset time to 90 minutes. Close lid.

 

6. Every 15 minutes, open lid and brush chicken with honey lemon marinade.

 

7. After 90 minutes, check to be sure chicken is thoroughly cooked by using a meat thermometer to register 77° C/170° F in breast meat and 85°C/185° F in thigh meat. A stuffed chicken may take longer to cook. If you do not have a thermometer, check to be sure juices from chicken run clear without any traces of pink.

Yogurt with fruit
 

Servings: 8 portions

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 8 hours

Ingredients

1.5 L (1.5 qt) of milk

120 mL (½ c) Yogurt to start

250 g (8 oz) of strawberries

100 g (3.5 oz) of blueberries

Preparation

 

1. Milk should be at room temperature.

 

2. Pour milk into the inner pot, add yogurt and stir.

 

3. Close the lid. Press "Menu", select “Yogurt” function, then press “Start/Cancel”.

 

4. When 30 minutes is left on the timer, add strawberries and blueberries and cook combined for remaining 30 minutes.

 

Remember yogurt cultures differ depending on variety, so the end results in taste and consistency can also vary.

Chocolate walnut cake

Servings: 6-8 portions

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

4 medium eggs

225 g (approx 1 ¾ c) confectioner sugar

75 g (5 tbsp) butter

60 g (5/8 c) flour

2 tsp baking power

100 g (3.5 oz) dark chocolate

100 g (3.5 oz) chopped walnuts

Preparation

 

1. Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl.

 

2. Add sugar and beat until mixture turns creamy. Add butter and keep mixing. Then add the flour and baking powder.

 

3. Melt the chocolate, mix everything together and add walnuts.

 

4. Grease the base and sides of the inner pot, add mixture and ensure it is level.

 

5. Press “Menu” button and select “Bake/Roast”function. Press “Temp” button and settemperature to 320°F (160°C) degrees.

 

6. Press the “Cooking time” button and select 45 minutes.

 

7. Close lid and press “Start/Cancel”.

 

8. When the program is finished the appliance automatically switches to "Keep Warm" function.

 

9. Let cake cool before removing from inner pot.
