Working together to build a bridge to the future
Philips and Marin General Hospital partner to transform an independent community hospital into a vital hub of connected, patient-centered care
Marin General Hospital (“MGH”) and Philips have embarked on a 15-year, $90M Managed Services partnership aimed at transforming care for the residents of Marin County, California. For Marin General Hospital, a hospital ranked in the top five percent in the country for clinical excellence (according to 2014 and 2015 HealthGrades reports), the Philips relationship will support their goal of providing access to advanced clinical technology while pursuing an ambitious growth and transformation plan for their facility, which was built in the 1952. Philips will supply MGH with a broad range of advanced medical technologies and services, including imaging systems, patient monitoring, telehealth and clinical informatics solutions as well as clinical education and consulting services. Additionally, the hospital will engage Philips’ award-winning design experts to create a highly personal patient experience in its new hospital building (opening 2020) and state-of-the-art Breast Health Center. As an independent hospital deeply committed to the health of its community, Marin General Hospital believes its strategic partnership with Philips will allow it to maintain an innovation edge in technology while focusing on treating the whole patient – mind, body and spirit.
Marin General Hospital is a 235-bed community hospital that has been meeting the health care needs of its community since 1952. The hospital has been recognized two years in a row, with the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence – putting Marin General Hospital in the top 5% in the nation. Marin General Hospital was also designated as one of America’s Best 100 Hospitals for Cardiac Care.
As an independent community hospital, we have made a conscious decision to partner with Philips, an industry leader, who can support us in taking a long-term view and quickly adopting the latest technologies while creating an exceptional experience for our patients.”
