4DMedical™ CT LVAS™

Computed Tomography Lung Ventilation Analysis Software
Imaging plays a crucial role in the diagnostic process for unexplained dyspnea, or shortness of breath, but anatomical findings can overlap, lag or precede clinical symptoms. CT lung ventilation analysis enhances diagnostic reports, providing referrers with actionable information. Philips offers the 4DMedical™ CT LVAS™ to help clinicians better characterize lung conditions and detect associated regional lung changes. CT LVAS™ is offered as a Software-as a Service (SaaS). Features: • Regional quantification of lung function, including lung volumes, ventilation heterogeneity, and ventilation defect percentage • Easy-to-read, color-coded visualization of regional lung ventilation • Detailed, actionable insights into lung function to better characterize and quantify respiratory conditions and symptoms • Compatibility with existing imaging equipment • No need for contrast agents Key conditions include lung health assessment for toxic exposure, VA-specific lung cancer screening, COPD, Sarcoidosis/long COVID.

Features
Diagnostic Support
Earlier diagnosis and treatment can be assisted by more sensitive and accurate assessments of regional lung ventilation. For chronic and progressive lung diseases with shortness of breath (dyspnea), poor exercise tolerance, chronic cough with or without sputum production, and wheezing to respiratory failure involving the airways and/or pulmonary parenchyma that results in changes in regional airflow or ventilatory obstruction.

Regional lung function metrics for objective assessment
The CT scan input data is uploaded to 4DMedical’s cloud-based ecosystem, where it is analyzed and returned as the Ventilation Report back to the clinician. The CT LVAS™ Ventilation Report overlays a colored image of regional ventilation data onto a patient’s CT— providing a quick correlation between function and structure. The regional ventilation data is quantified as lung volume and regional lung function metrics for objective assessment.

  • 4DMedical™ XV LVAS™ Lung Ventilation Analysis Software
Philips is offering the XV LVAS™ from 4DMedical, a Software as a Service (SaaS) that uses fluoroscopic lung images from existing hospital equipment to quantify regional lung ventilation in a comprehensive but easy-to-interpret report that includes 4D video visualizations. Areas of high and low ventilation are highlighted and ventilation heterogeneity – a recognized indicator of lung health – is quantified. Fluoroscopic images are uploaded for processing with a reference CT. Key features include: • Regional quantification of lung function, including Lung Volume, Ventilation Heterogeneity (VH) and Ventilation Defect Percentage (VDP) • Four-dimensional imaging – 3D + time • Easy-to-read visualization of regional lung ventilation • Actionable insights into lung function to better characterize and quantify respiratory conditions and symptoms • Uses existing hospital imaging equipment • No contrast agents
