San Francisco, Calif., USA – As a technology company that cares about people, Philips Healthcare (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) challenges itself every day to deliver on this promise and help solve the world’s toughest health care concerns and clinical challenges through meaningful innovation. The company does this by developing innovative solutions across the continuum of care in partnership with clinicians and customers to improve patient outcomes, provide better value and expand access to care. At this year’s American College of Cardiology’s Scientific Session, ACC.13, March 9-11 in San Francisco, Philips Healthcare will unveil new advances in cardiovascular health monitoring to demonstrate this promise:

• Philips IntelliSpace ECG: with the introduction of IntelliSpace ECG, a multi-modality, multi-vendor, scalable ECG management system, patient data can be accessed from other points-of-care applications for review, comparison and printing. Users can review time-sensitive ECGs on a smartphone, which can help improve patient care through comprehensive and flexible workflow management – throughout the user’s enterprise.

• Philips ST80i Stress Testing System: this new system and the next generation of stress-testing features a wireless patient experience, bi-directional connectivity and advanced decision support tools that enhance data review, patient care and workflow efficiency.

“From the hospital to the home, we think very broadly about how innovation impacts the entire continuum of care and exchange of information,” said Mike Mancuso, CEO, Patient Care and Clinical Informatics, Philips Healthcare. “Our goal is to provide solutions that enhance collaboration and integration, so that clinicians can focus on what matters most – the patient.”

At ACC, Philips will display two key examples of “world’s first” innovations in cardiac care as part of its mission to change the future of health care:

• Philips’ new EchoNavigator live image-guidance tool (EchoNavigator). This newly-introduced system helps interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to perform minimally-invasive structural heart disease repairs by providing an intelligently integrated view of live X-ray and 3D ultrasound images.

• Philips will also demonstrate the Corindus CorPath® 200 System, the robotic-assisted system for PCI. The system allows interventionalists to precisely move commercially available guidewires and balloon/stent catheters.

“At the end of the day it is products and services that enable us to not only advance clinical science but drive new ways of working as well as diagnosis and treatment across the continuum of care,” said Gene Saragnese, CEO, Imaging Systems, Philips Healthcare. “With our deep clinical expertise, we partner closely with our customers and clinicians to change the future of healthcare for the better.”
