Las Vegas, Nevada and Amsterdam, the Netherlands – Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, will showcase its commitment to helping home medical equipment partners succeed by introducing new solutions and services at Medtrade Spring 2019. During the show, Philips will feature its latest offerings designed to further enhance effective and efficient care for patients with chronic respiratory and sleep conditions. These include the new, patient-focused DreamStation Go Heated Humidifier and DreamWisp, as well as the recent two-way integration of resupply with NikoHealth. A recent study conducted by Philips found that 65 percent of people who reported having sleep apnea stated they either never used or no longer use therapy to treat their disease [1]. To help foster higher levels of compliance among sleep apnea patients, Philips is dedicated to improving the comfort and accessibility of sleep apnea therapies, while in turn improving patient outcomes and quality of life, as well as opportunities for the HME.
The innovations and solutions we are showcasing at Medtrade not only enhance patient care by offering added convenience and comfort, but can also help streamline efficiencies for the HME’s business via integrated platforms and new inventory opportunities.

“We always listen to the needs of our customers and continuously work to innovate and offer options that benefit patients and enable better care,” said Sonal Matai, VP of North America Marketing, Sleep & Respiratory Care at Philips. “The innovations and solutions we are showcasing at Medtrade not only enhance patient care by offering added convenience and comfort, but can also help streamline efficiencies for the HME’s business via integrated platforms and new inventory opportunities.” As the number-one choice sleep therapy brand among sleep physicians, Philips Respironics has leveraged its expertise behind the more than 10 million DreamWear masks and cushions sold worldwide to introduce the new DreamWisp mask. DreamWisp offers the benefit of DreamWear’s unique top-of-the-head tube design to users who benefit from the seal of an over-the-nose cushion, enabling providers to streamline their range of offerings to meet patient needs. Philips has also addressed patient and provider feedback by presenting the new DreamStation Go Heated Humidifier. The latest offering is the thinnest CPAP heated humidifier among leading brands, and can be used with tap or bottled water for added convenience when distilled water is not available. Featuring the same humidification modes as DreamStation and the freedom to use any CPAP mask, the Go humidifier is a “no compromise” sleep therapy solution for travelers looking for added comfort while on the go. In addition to showcasing these new inventory opportunities at Medtrade Spring, Philips will also demonstrate their enhanced resupply service, which now features full two-way integration with NikoHealth, a patient management and billing solution. This new integration will allow HMEs to perform patient resupply through one, seamless process – without operating between two systems. “We are excited about offering our customers a simplified, integrated workflow allowing them to leverage Phillips resupply order generation technology while automating order flow, shipping and billing processes,” said Michael Kutsak, CEO of NikoHealth. “With this integration our customers will be able to streamline their fragmented resupply programs and work out of one application to manage the order lifecycle.” Beyond introducing new solutions and services, Philips made similar strides in other areas of our business by investing in educating consumers through online portals and multi-media advertising to help increase knowledge of treatments and solutions available through HMEs. Within the past year, Philips consumer education website and direct marketing efforts have given nearly 50,000 patients the information they need to find and purchase its solutions from HMEs across the country.
