Philips recognized by Forbes as one of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity

TORONTO – Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, today announced that the company earned a spot on the Forbes 2024 “Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity” list. Only 200 companies throughout the country made the list, and Philips is one of only two organizations honored in the Healthcare Equipment & Services category. The list was determined by a survey of over 40,000 Canadian professionals working at companies employing at least 500 people.

Philips strives to create opportunities that allow all employees to feel their expectations, career goals and ambitions can be met, including programs designed to develop talent at all levels of the organization, with a focus on advancing diversity, inclusion & equity issues including race, ethnicity and gender diversity. Philips Canada Women’s Leadership Group and Women’s Mentorship program support the development of employees looking to progress their skills and receive guidance from senior leadership. Coaching and training opportunities are offered to leaders to promote diverse hiring practices, identifying talent whose unique differences, perspectives and experiences help drive the company’s purpose of improving lives forward.

Philips also supports 12 volunteer-led Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) across North America that over 10,000 employees access in order to have even greater and more prominent influence on the company’s culture, providing their meaningful input on Philips inclusion, diversity and well-being initiatives.
