Philips and the Radiology Business Management Association team up to provide education and support for diagnostic imaging centers

Andover, MA - Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG,AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, today announced it has teamed with the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) to be the association’s exclusive imaging equipment sponsor. Together, the two organizations will provide vital education and support for diagnostic imaging facilities, helping radiology professionals remain competitive in the evolving value-based care ecosystem.

With a commitment to further educating radiology business professionals, Philips and RBMA will provide imaging centers with the necessary tools to improve the patient experience, analyze local market trends, understand the radiology industry’s latest technological developments, optimize workflow practice and gain insight into the characteristics health systems currently value in a radiology practice. With access to data being a key component to success, this collaboration will provide RBMA members with industry-leading financial and operational intel, benchmarking data, and imaging utilization data, offering insights to enhance quality control and patient satisfaction.

“RBMA and Philips are guided by a common goal of improving care through education and innovative solutions,” said Cheryl Iodice, senior vice president of Marketing for Philips North America. “Together, we can help imaging centers thrive in this new era of value-based medicine by improving workflow and patient care to drive better clinical and financial outcomes.”

RBMA provides support to thousands of radiology business professionals in the U.S. annually through programs and resources that address changing industry trends. Philips supports this effort by contributing content on topics that are relevant to the RBMA community and encourages the members to share success stories on how facilities have grown and utilized unique imaging solutions to build referrals and drive new business.

“Partnering with Philips further validates our mission of providing exceptional education to radiology business professionals,” said RBMA president Tom Dickerson, Ed.D. “Our members look to experts like Philips for the necessary guidance and knowledge to successfully operate their imaging facilities.”
