Patient safety is our top priority.
Magnetic components are used in certain Philips Respironics masks to support your patients by making their experience easier and more comfortable. However, if your patient has an implanted metallic device, or is in close proximity to someone who has an implanted metallic device, you should consider other Philips Respironics masks to support their needs. In 2022, Philips Respironics voluntarily updated the contraindication and warning labeling for masks with magnets. As an industry-leading practice, we strengthened the already present warnings and added contraindications for individuals who have, or are in close proximity to, a metallic implanted device.
