Amy Mortensen, RDH
Amy has been a registered dental hygienist for over 10 years. She graduated from Eastern Washington University, where she was inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society. In her spare time she has volunteered at Seattle King County Clinic, Washington’s largest volunteer-driven health clinic.
BJ Fogg, PhD
Dr. Fogg is a behavior scientist and author. In addition to founding the Behavior Design Lab at Stanford University, he co-created Tiny Habits Academy and shared his breakthrough methods in the New York Times bestseller Tiny Habits. Dr. Fogg’s overall goal in his work is to help people improve their lives.
Purnima Kumar, BDS, MS, PhD
Dr. Kumar is the William and Mary K. Najjar Endowed professor of Dentistry and Chair of the Department of Periodontology and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She is an active clinician, teacher, researcher and author and has served on grant review panels for the NIH.
Peter Auster, DMD
Dr. Auster was recently named a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Dentists, served two terms as director of the AACD and recently completed a term as chairman of their leadership committee. He also helped found and served as president for the Greater New York Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Anandh Balakrishnan, PhD
Dr. Balakrishnan is a manufacturing and functional engineer at Philips Oral Healthcare with 11 years of experience in fluid dynamics. He was a post-doctoral fellow, graduate teacher and teaching assistant at University of Oklahoma, where he earned his PhD in mechanical engineering.
Michelle Starke, PhD
Dr. Starke is an associate director at Philips Oral Healthcare with a strong research background. She has a PhD in molecular biology and microbiology from University of Washington, where she was a post-doctoral fellow and received a certificate in health economics and outcomes research.
