docking speaker with Bluetooth®

I bought this for the clock. However it turned out to be much more than a standard clock. The sound quality is great for background music at parties and get togethers.

Finally a full featured dock that fits a samsung S3 with a case-mate on. Thanks to the fully adjustable usb stand, one handed docking is possible, and the fast rate charger does the job in an hour. I do not use the Dockstudio app since it is still currently buggy, but the clock can be manually set and the bluetooth links just fine once the AS111 is located. The fidelity is very smooth with decent bass and reaches room filling volume easily without distortion. This was my main concern, and the AS111 performs better than I hoped. The nightlight is useful to have, but illumination of top controls, or at least tactile locators for them would have been even better.

In attempting to finally move totally away from the "other device", I needed a bedside device that would function as an alarm clock as well as a reasonable set of speakers. The AS111 fits the bill perfectly. Once the DockStudio software is loaded, it's plug and play. the Bluetooth connection is automatic and media audio is routed through the speakers. Songbird software is included if you need to stream from another device, but I don't use it. On balance, this is an excellent solution for the price. Sound quality is quite good, and volume is more than adequate for bedroom use. The final item is the micro-USB connector. A bit of adjustment and it will fit any phone that I can think of, a nice touch and solid design.

Only Trick was un linking my Blue tooth ear think that I never use. Fidelio is nice, like the home screen and has all my local radio stations, I live in the hills so I cant get many sations over the air so love the IP radio feature.

I give Philips a huge thumbs up because they've kept their innovation going in order to bring us loyal Android users a worthy dock! It's beautifully round, and the music has great highs and lows as I listen to it while writing this. Couldn't ask for more except the option to choose Google's Play Music instead of Songbird inside the DockStudio app. Philips, keep up the pioneering!

It use to work great. However, as of this moment it doesn't want to pair with my Amazon echo dot. I don't know what happened to it. It was working perfectly fine a day ago.

HTC made phones do not mate well at all, especially the larger ones with more weight to them. There is not enough support to allow the device to be secured while connected in a landscape orientation. Simply but the phone will not stay on the dock, perhaps an additional bracket could make this work, but as is this product is a fail with our HTC phone. Really want to love this product, unfortunate that something as simple as it not being able to stay plugged into the dock is making it unusable.

I love the product idea, but I have the Thunderbolt and the way it is designed, the charging port is on the bottom left side and the phone tips over from its own weight thus disconnecting itself. It needs an additional couple of inches of adapter.

Works good on the Bluetooth. Sound performance is GREAT. Nite Lite little DIM. Not really a nite lite but more of a way to find it in the dark. BEWARE: You could have trouble if your phones charging jack (Micro USB) in on the TOP or Bottom of phone and it's not in the center. The unit is fairly adjustable but cant get my Samsung Showcase to stay put. Brackets. Sticky Pad would be great. Added a U-Shaped bracket and a small piece of rubber padding. Got CREATIVE. Problem Solved. Over all I'm happy:) It works with ANDROID not DiePhone :) Thanks Philips RH

The hardware is actually quite nice, very sleek and attractive. However, the DockStudio app is horrendous. It crashes frequently; doesn't properly overwrite the graphics on the screen, creating a jumble of menus and buttons; has some bizarre and inexplicable settings (lifestyle?) but lacks other settings that would be nice (setting your own clock background). The menus are confusing and unintuitive. And, worst of all, the app hogs memory and crashes often, and your alarm will not sound if the app crashes. I do appreciate the fact that the hardware is very nice and the bluetooth connectivity is such that I can use the Fidelio as a generic bluetooth speaker for other music players and apps. It makes this purchase not a total wash. I'm just hoping that soon Philips will update their terrible app so that it's sleek, shiny, and functional like their dock hardware.
