5000 series Smart Ultra HDTV

Excellent TV! Picture and Sound quality are very good!

This TV has great color and sound. I feel like this was a very good choice.

I love this tv , but the only thing I don’t like about it, is the remote. It feel so cheap and like it’s going to break really easily. But other than that , best purchase I’ve made!

If you're looking for a basic 4K TV, this is it. Don't be fooled into thinking this "smart" TV is feature-rich, because it's not. For "smart" TV, you have Netflix, YouTube and Vudu for video. That's it. Any other "apps" they advertise are web-based apps delivered through "Vewd" - Philips' own "app" service. You can bank on more than half of the apps to be absolutely worthless or non-functional. The wireless screen casting function simply doesn't work. At all. I've tried my laptop, Pixel 3 and my wife's S9. Won't connect. The box might say "HDR" but it is quite possibly thee worst HDR implementation EVER. Faux-HDR that basically enables dynamic contrast (horribly, might I add) and "micro-dimming", which wouldn't be an issue if it had a smoother fading effect instead of extremely obvious (and extremely annoying) "steps" when it auto-adjusts. Menus are laggy and HDMI ARC only works half the time. With all of that said, if you are just looking for a very basic 4K TV and not all of the bells and whistles, this is it. After a few days of fine tuning the picture (the presets are horrendous), I feel the picture looks great and I got a good bang for my buck - paid around $550 for it. However, I'm left wanting to buy a Roku Ultra to regain the smart TV functionality I was originally led to believe I was getting with this TV.

Our 2 month old tv developed a problem. Customer service was professional, friendly and swift in their response. Unfortunately the replacement also has a different issue.

Software update took 3 attempts to complete. The tv wouldn't add all my cable channels. I will never purchase another Philips tv.

Audio only works with a sound bar via optical cable ONLY USING APPS. Muliti audio option doesn't work. Waste of money, terrible T.V. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Theys a reason their products are cheaper than Samsung..Sony etc..very INFERIOR PRODUCTS..this tv is cheap for a reason

Since my first review was rejected? I'll keep this simple. We bought this TV on black Friday. Brought it home, spent time mounting it to the wall and set it up. It was very slow with response time and the second day we had it, it froze and wouldn't shut off. After getting it to turn off, it would not come back on. It was advertised to have over 100+ apps and maybe had 20. We also could not get the software to update. Customer service could not help us so we took it off the wall, packaged it back up and returned it for another brand.
