Philips Norelco SmartTouch-XLSmartTouch-XL 9195XL

Bought a new old stock model of this beautiful machine a few weeks ago from a seller online and after using it for a while, I can confidently say that this is the pinnacle of rotary shaver technology. Philips started to majorly cheapen out with subsequent models, the top of the line shavers they sell today are nothing compared to the quality and the shaving experience you get from this machine. I really wish that Phillips would spend a little more time and money on R&D like they did in the past, we really lost something special here.

What a difference the new blades make. Smoother shave.

The best. Cannot find any info regarding the razor. Evan the repair shops cannot tell me whether the failed lcd is part of the board or a stand alone product.

Gets through my beard when others wouldn't. It is very comfortable to use. No burning. Cleans easily. Design is timeless, in my opinion. I will certainly buy another when the time comes. This product delivers on what I expect from Philips Norelco!

was bought as a Christmas gift and is used on a daily basis by my husband. Gives a really close shave without any irritation to the skin. Very easy to remove the head of the shaver to clean. Makes very little noise, nice and quiet!

In 1962, I turned 18 at the very beginning of my freshman year in college and my parents gave me a Norelco electric razor for the occasion. To be honest, I was still in the peach fuzz stage, which of course quickly changed. My shaver lasted me through undergraduate and graduate degrees and well into my working life. When it finally wore out, there was no question what brand of electric razor I was going to replace it with; another Norelco of course! I am now 67 and, yes, I have purchased a SmartTouch-XL, for the simple reason that Norelco has given me a "Life Time" guarantee that I will always have the best, smoothest and gentlest shave I could ever have. In this case, the "Life Time" happens to be my own.

Easy to use and clean. Good battery life. Pop-up works well. Hadn't used an electric in recent memory. Bought this to see me through a hand operation.

I like the fact that I can rinse it off w/ water after use. The battery has a long life. The plastic cover does not fit properly, pops off. The cord doesn't fit in case for travel.

Your shavers are very good although you shaving heads don't seem to last as long as they used to.

The shaver head hinge broke due to tiny plastic nodules breaking off. The nodules are so small and easily can break off due to head snapping open too quickly as a result of the spring action. No replacement parts available. The whole shaver is not operable now!
