Blu-ray Disc/ DVD player

For the price it's great easy to use would recommend it to everyone

Easy to set up. Well built: metal case, not plastic. Its browser streams HD content very well; there may be an occasional glitch, but I only experience one once--may have been the website, not the player. That's why I gave 4 stars for performance. Quality of sound output is good. I have no negatives. I suppose some may want a larger choice of web content providers to choose from, but, first, the providers you can access with the player have plenty of content, and second, you can play anything from the web: all you have to do is connect your computer to the television with a $10-$15 cable. This player has to be among the best in its price range.

It's simple to use, had my Pandora & Netflix accounts linked in a snap! Although I do not use it for 3D, it's Blu-Ray Playback is flawless!

Since I have never had a blu ray player, I only have my DVD player to compare with. Picture and sound quality of Blu Ray and DVD disk playing is excellent. Setting up for us on a wifi network and playing streaming Netflix movie is super easy. Picture quality of Netflix movies is variable an appears to be dependent on the speed of the internet signal I get. I'm not sure if it's Netflix or the quality of the internet source. I don't have problems with crashing like I did originally after doing a connection reboot as recommended by Philips support. The support service from Philips was excellent. My only complain is with the performance of the remote which seems slow at times.

Purchased this product from walmart rio rancho new mexico was worried about it because outside packaging was banged up got it home pluged it in wireless hookup went grate i have vudu to go have not tested all the other things it can do. I one other philips blue ray player have owned few in the past done me well.

This item was a gift several years ago. I liked it but it has always "stuck" when opening or closing to insert/remove discs. It was a nuisance, but until this week, always eventually would open after numerous attempts. This week it simply will not open.

When ever i leave the dvd player on overnight it locks up and is unresponsive. i have to unplug it to get it to power off. Thought i needed a software update but Im running the latest software version 2.28. Not sure what the deal is. Also dont like how it automatically plays a dvd when i power it up with a dvd in it. I usually want to go to netflix and i have to wait for it to read the disk and start the dvd before i can cancel the movie and then get to netflix menu.

Recently purchased as a factory refurbished unit. Having problems playing Pandora though other options play fine. It is somehow logged into someone else's Pandora account and stays buffering forever on a radio channel.

I've had several Philips products before, all were fine, this one (Blu-ray player model BDP2105) is too, basically, EXCEPT ... its remote is the worst I've ever owned, of any type, for any device. It is cheap, illogically laid out, and the buttons barely work. Since, I suspect, there's not much difference among lower-end blu-ray players, I'd recommend you try something else.

Everything is fine except the fact that the 3d feature won't work. I tried playing a 3d Blu Ray but it won't play. It keeps telling me to upgrade it to the most recent software for the firmware pack in order to use it. Even after upgrading it, the 3d feature does not work. Very disappointed in the 3d feature.
