Blu-ray Disc/ DVD player

It works great. Better than the one it replaced which developed problems within the first 6 months of ownership.

Bought this to be able to play Blu-ray disks with my bedroom TV and the fact that it connects to the internet and offers several streaming services as well for the price I paid, it's an excellent deal.

Exceptionally simple set up! Just plug in the HDMI cable and plug the unit in and you are ready. easy to follow onscreen instructions. Great picture quality. I have a Philips DVD player that I have had for years and never had a problem so I looked for a Philips BluRay and I am very pleased.

This product was easy to set up and is easy to operate. I would purchase another one in the future.

The menu backgroynd color is so light you have a hard time viewing the menu items when trying to make changes. When playing a dvd/blu ray with moren than one movie etc on it, it does not olay the next movie jist goes bacj to the beginning of the first one. Not user friendly at all.

I wasn't going to give a good review at first because I had trouble with the remote from the beginning. But after contacting Customer Service, I have changed my mind. They were very courteous and helpful. After telling her what I was calling about, she apologized and took my information. I received a new remote within the week and it works great. Thank you!

I bought this to play dvds and USB mp4 videos. No information on the box about USB so I took a chance and NOPE ... won't do MP4s. Strange because my 12 yearl old Phillips did play MP4 just great. So what good is the USB port? Answer ... no good at all.

for skmw reason YouTube app stops working and cannot make it work, support is NULL from website or call center

I am not happy at all with the remote. Firstly, it is too small, secondly, the play, eject, fast forward and so forth, buttons, are in illogical places that follow no pattern. I've owned many DVD/Blue Ray players, and this one is the most cumbersome and most awkward. I'm sorry I purchased it.

I bought this so I could play videos on the USB drive and this DVD player only will play formats from a camcorder. So all the MP4 and other videos out there won't work. Phillips needs to put this on the box. Last time I buy their product again.
