4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player

I purchased this player to complement my 4K TV. I have not been disappointed!

I selected this product to play 4k, Blu-ray, and dvd disks. I did not want a device that would try to be more than that which would possibly get me so confused I couldn't get back to doing this very thing and doing it well. So far it has served me well doing what I selected it for. Thanks for making something I wanted that has not overwhelmed me.

Bought this for it being a simple 4K Blu Ray player and nothing else. If you don,t need Netflix, Hulu, etc. on your DVD player this unit will fit your needs.

4k UHD players are still pretty expensive but this entry model does the trick. I currently have it hooked up to a 55" Philips 4k tv and it plays my UHDs, blurays and DVDs flawlessly. The upscaling of regular DVDs is really good. I was surprised how well the upscaling looked for these SD dvds. Blu rays look wonderful and UHD is flawless. I only have a soundbar and the audio sounds fine on it. I know this player does not support the higher end on the audio scale but for what I have, it works just fine. If you are looking for a cheap entry into the 4k uhd market, you can't go wrong with this!

My old DVD player died after 7 years, in the middle of viewing the Farscape 15th anniversary boxed set. I needed a new player in a hurry. My nearest 24 hour shopping option was Walmart. The employee immediately directed me to the oldest, most discounted model. I told him I wanted the latest thing that just came out and here we are. I love the compact size, about half that of my old player and about a third the weight. Very easy to hook up. I like that is has its own internet connection so the software stays updated. I also like having one player for DVD and BluRay formats since my collection is mostly DVD.

I had my doubts when I bought this player I wasn't too sure if it was going to be that great or not. But after hooking it up to my TV and playing my first 4K movie I was blown away the picture was fantastic the sound was fantastic it's just an all-around great player. The only thing I wish ,I wish it was getting the Dolby Vision update if it would get the update would be a perfect player.

simple remote, power button and open tray button a tad close together even with mall hands. some sound issues even with brand new smudge free disks (older recievers sound may stop and you have to unplug the cable and reconnect. changing it on the receiver mode had no effect). my new 7.1 rec had a quick laps 1 sec of no sound from time to time. cannot change Hdmi audio output to bitrate ( don't think it supports it anyway , this is so your receiver decodes the dolby and not the bluray player can be use full if you have a nice atmos receiver or something.

The unit works great, but the remote's buttons are not in the common locations, nor do they use the common emblems. Took over 30 seconds just to find the open/close button.

Refurbished item. The price, but it's not functional. Won't play blue ray, DVD or CD'S

The media player stopped working after the warranty expired, not even a few years old. Customer care kept hanging up on me and was unable to resolve the issue. They told me that I needed to pay out of pi ket to repair it. Waste of $350!!! Also 4K disc's are VERY PIXELATED and certain disc's arenot supported when they worked just fine a few months ago. This thing is garbage. Phillips suggested to buy a newer model and hung up on me! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Buy a better brand!
