Wake-up Light

Note only is this product simple enough to figure out with very little referencing to the instruction book, but it works exactly like I had hoped. I enjoy being woken up to light so much more than to sound, and knowing if I don't wake up to the light that the alarm sound will then follow lets me fall asleep knowing I won't sleep through my alarm again.

I live in the Midwest, so in the Fall and Winter we have long periods when the sun doesn't rise until 7am and sets by 4:30pm. I work in Health Care so my days start sometimes at 4:00am, this is the main reason I purchased the Philips Wake-Up Light. I never wake to a dark bedroom anymore, and I find that I never have to hit the snooze, begging for another 10 minutes. The fact that it's a gradual lighting in the room makes it so nice to wake to. Believe me, I had my doubts that this was going to wake me, I had my "old" alarm clock set for a back up. After several days of having the Philips Wake-Up Light wake me successfully I no longer need to use my "old" alarm clock as back up. This is the BEST purchase I have made in a long time. The first couple of days I actually had to smile upon waking to a bedroom lit up, it was great!

It's great for helping me wake up in the morning. The only problem is that the App is a little buggy. I have to set the alarm in the app and then dock it before the screen goes to sleep or I get an error message and have to re-dock. I'd also like to be able to simply pick a playlist to randomly choose songs from. Now I have to select the songs manually. Other than that it works like a charm. The tap to snooze function is extremely handy.

great alarm clock, IF it would work. Every other morning it wont go off. Philips, do the right thing here and update the app for use with ios 8

The Philips Wake Up Light HF3550 doesn’t work for anyone the US. The app isn’t available to download in the US, and it won’t work AT ALL without the app. I wanted to return it, but then Covid-19 happened and I was unable to get to the post office before the return deadline. Complete waste of money. Unfortunately I’ll have to throw it away, as it’s useless to me.

I keep an old iPhone with an older iOS version JUST to run my lamp. Can you believe it. I have a smartphone ... with the sole purpose to make my lamp work.

Not able to use after my ios update, how come! Philips

I would reccomend people not to buy this product as Phillips with their latest update, Sept 9th version, of the app taken away the existing compatibility with iOS 8.1.4. As well as issued a statement that they will not support iOS 8 or newer in the future. Very disappointing!

Philips- you have such a fantastic product here with the Wake-Up Light. How is it possible, that a company as credited as yourselves, still have no support for iPhone IOS 8.3? This product was amazing for the short period it did work. Please can we have support for the latest IOS.

Since the light requires an iphone to work, you should UPDATE THE APP!!!
