Soundbar speaker

Finally, great audio from my TV without running cables and cords all around the living room. Subwoofer has great "kick" and you can adjust bass down or up if you want. Multiple inputs. For best results, get and use an optical cord. Bluetooth pairing was a breeze with my iPad. We even re-watched some movies and TV shows we had recorded in the DVR just for the sound. Turn on the Virtual Surround for football games and crank it up...!

Awesome Soundbar for the price you get and the quality A+ I cant say more its really good.

Hi, I'm a Dutchman living in France. I was brought up in the Netherlands with Philips products. This soundbar sounds good but doesn't replace a real 5.1 sound system, the sound is ok but as usual, nowadays, a Loudness feature is missing. Mine is already 5 years of age. Sometimes when I activate the surround feature it makes a little annoying sound. Without any doubt an electrolytic capacitor of a few cents. I will repair it myself. The device has a coaxial input but also a Toslink Most standard audio RCA cables can be used they are coaxial. The most important thing is a good shielding if not you don't have sound.

I discovered this nice sounding device included no way of connecting it to my Philips smart TV. I have purchased 3 different cord types and none of them will work I guess it needs a male to male USB cord but *those* are very hard to find! So far my device has only been hooked up via Bluetooth to my smart phone. That's it. And I am disappointed.

The product needs a digital coax cable. I spent two hours on the phone with Philips support only to figure out on my own that the cable I was using was an improper analog cable. A quick trip to Radio schack and I was able to get it working. It would have been really helpful to have the cable to connect the sound bar to the TV in the box or some labeling that tells you that it is NOT included and I could have purchased it right then and there and avoided all the hassle I went through today. I do like the TV and the sound system.

Couple of days ago I bought Philips HTL2160/F7. Product is overall quite nice, especially considering the price. Biggest issue is that remote control didn't work at all until I added a small piece of metal (solder wire for best conductivity) between the standard AAA battery and remote's contact wires - apparently battery that this remote is intended to work with is not long enough. It took me some time to realize that this was the issue and apply the easy fix, but most of the people wouldn't bother. Shearing this as there might be other people with the same issue that don't want to waste additional time by replacing / returning the product.

I got this for Christmas from my daughter and son in law. It worked great for a few months ,now it turns on by itself ,it won't stay in the mode I pick.The volume button does whatever it wants.I had to unplug it.I don't want to tell my daughter ,because I don't want to hurt her feelings

As some other reviews have said, this bar tends to die after a few months. It worked fine for me and i was happy with it but after 6-10 months the sound began cutting out and cracking. Initially it was only the optical input but it spread to all inputs quickly making it utterly useless so this can't be recommended

I have owned Philips products in the past so I went right to them for the soundbar. Got it home and it sounded fantastic, Bluetooth capable, awesome really. At 18 months (warranty expired etc.), it started making crackling sounds and the sound would go out after about 20 minutes. Turn it off and back on and it would go for maybe 5 minutes before crackling, then no sound. I could pay to have it repaired, but I might as well buy another one by some other manufacturer. Sadly, I see other owners who have experienced the same thing. Very disappointed!

This product has a good rich sound, however after six months of use began playing ten minutes and quitting.
