Philips Norelco Shaver 5100Wet & dry electric shaver, Series 5000

I give the Norelco 5000 series 4 stars only because I don’t use the attachments and have no need too because I shave my head and face with it. It’s much more quieter than my previous Braun series 3 and shaves just as well if not better. It can be used wet or dry but I only use it on dry skin unless I want it to be razor smooth shave & then I’ll use the preshave oil lectric shave that is green in color and it’s even more smoother and comfortable of a shave. Battery life is phenomenal, fit’s well in my hand and had no trouble at all taking hair from my head when I haven’t shaved in 3 days. With a 3 day growth I can have a smooth shave and be finished within a few minutes . I actually like it so well I bought 2 5000 series, the 5000 and the 5000x. Both use same blades and interchangeable, only difference one is slim and the 5000 is more rounded in the hands. The 5000x is slim with a good non slip grip but both are awesome when you have sensitive skin and want a clean comfortable shave like a blade gives without the mess and time it takes to get it smooth. I like this shaver and it moves smoothly and light weight. Wash sign blink every time and I wash it often and keeps clean. I recently replaced blades and feels back original smooth shaves. I have this shaver like a year now and I don't have any problem.

This norelco provides a comfortable shave and shaves very close. I do like it very much

My other Norelco is over 30 years old. I have always liked it so I decided to step up.

This is the latest in a series of Philips electric shavers I have purchased over the years, beginning with the very first one I bought when I lived in Italy. This one is the best one yet. It can be counted on to provide a precise and close shave every morning. I particularly like the fact that I can use it with shaving cream to help protect my sensitive skin. To me, the most important thing is that the shaver I bought is made in the Netherlands. I appreciate the superior quality of the product. It is the outstanding Dutch workmanship.

I have used this product since it was first introduced many many years ago, unfortunately for Phillips they last forever!

Great battery life and performance on light stubble. Came with a nice trimmer attachment.
