Between our kids, we've experimented with audio, digital video, and wi-fi monitors. While we love the fancy features of a wi-fi monitor, we found that for visiting out of town family or staying in a hotel suite audio monitoring was our go-to route. We received this monitor to review and were quite impressed at how the quality has improved from the static versions we were used to growing up. SOUND QUALITY - I hear my baby clearly without static or interruption. To be able to hear that my baby is breathing safely and that she is content means the world to me. VISUAL DISPLAY - The sound sensitivity lights are helpful to visually see the volume of sound coming from my daughter's room. I appreciate being able to adjust the sensitivity if there are other items (i.e. humidifier or lawn mower) that could be picked up. THERMOMETER GAUGE - I love this feature. Whether it is the heat of summer or the cool of winter, I love knowing the temperature in my daughter's room to ensure she is comfortable and in a safe temperature range. Her older brother wanted to be a helper and cranked the heat - while I interceded right away, I appreciate knowing the alert feature was an extra safety check for temperature comfort. TWO-WAY TALK - If she has already been settled for the evening but is stirring, the two-way talk feature is neat in allowing me to sing her bedtime song to her again without the disturbance of me opening the door (and that visual excitement of seeing mom!). We used this feature when my son had transitioned to a toddler bed - we'd say, "please go back to bed, sweetie" when we heard he was up, and he would listen. Most of the time. ;) While we prefer checking personally, this communication feature has provided an extra avenue of communicating with our kids - and for that, we are thankful. NIGHTLIGHT - Changing a diaper at night is easily facilitate with a light touch of the monitor / light. The nightlight is soft and non-glaring - just the right amount to provide care but not too bright to fully awaken our daughter. RANGE - The range indicates up to 330 meters. While we were staying in a cabin we utilized this feature so that our daughter could nap while we played right outside the cabin with our son. He was a happy camper and so were we. Overall, the sound quality and bonus features make this audio monitor reliable, portable, and a great value to not break the bank.

I received a free sample of this baby monitor for my son, and was very pleased. One of the features I really liked was the base stays in the babies room and the smaller piece stays with me, well if I misplace my piece I can press find on the base and find it. I also loved that the base was a nightlight...it was very nice to have during the night. I also had never had a monitor that I could use as a 2 way speaker, if my son was crying I could talk to him over the monitor on my way to his room. I was very pleased and would highly recommend this monitor to others.

Who knew a baby monitor could do so much! I received this monitor as a free sample to use for this review and was very impressed with it. First, the range of this monitor is amazing. I could literally go across the street and still hear perfectly through the monitor. This is great for times you are outside doing yard work, etc. Second, there is a room temperature sensor that keeps you alerted to how warm/cold it is in their room at night. Third, there is a soft nightlight that can glow as well as lullabies that can play. The monitor device also has a two way walkie talkie like feature so you can talk to your child without going into the room. One other thing I noticed about this monitor when comparing it to others that I have used in the place is that it is extremely quiet. Others seem to have a static/white noise that is loud but there is none of that with this one. Overall, I would highly recommend this monitor. I have used several before with other children but this is by far the best I have used. You can`t go wrong!

I happily received this product in exchange for posting an honest review of this baby monitor. I have enjoyed using it and would recommend it to others. There are many `extra` features that I wasn`t sure I`d use upon initial use, but I have been pleasantly surprised that I`ve used them and will continue. I have liked the temperature alert--especially during a cold winter in a finicky apartment. It gives me peace of mind that I`ve dressed my child appropriately for the night, or gives me reason to go put on another blanket. My child has even liked the music features that play for 15 minutes after I leave the room. We have had no issues with the distance of the parental control reach--but we live in a small apartment, so I can`t speak too well for that. The monitor has been sensitive enough to pick up noises I WANT to hear, but hasn`t been so sensitive that I can`t sleep myself. The battery life for the parental unit has been good with no sign of decline yet. I regularly use the built in night light and have been able to remove out other too bright night light thanks to this feature. Overall I highly recommend this product to new or expecting parents.

I received the Phillips id/dect monitor basic as a free sample for my baby and now I have the pleasure of writing a review it was a nice simple and easy to assemble as well as it came with batteries I used it immediately upon receiving it and I can say that it is very useful I would definitely recommend this monitor for any parent who has a small child

I received a free sample of the Dect Monitor in exchange for writing a review.. INSTRUCTIONS:The instructions were very clear and concise, easy to understand and to get started. There are numerous extra features on this monitor, so the booklet is nice to have on hand to check back about how different things work. DURABILITY:Everything on both units seems very well made and durable. The cords aren't flimsy, they stay connected well. On other monitors I have noticed the cords sometimes come out very easily with only a little pressure. SIGNAL STRENGTH:The signal strength on this monitor seems to be fine. It worked everywhere in our home, and I don't anticipate having a problem with it even if we want to take it outside. TWO WAY COMMUNICATION:This monitor has this feature, but it isn't something that we have really needed. Our baby just gets more upset if he hears our voices, but can't see where we are. I am sure it will be wonderful for some families, but isn't needed for ours. NIGHTLIGHT FEATURE: The nightlight feature is great! It is just the perfect soft light without being too bright - it is nice that it is right on the monitor. I do wish that it had some sort of timer though and that the light would turn off after about 30 minutes. My baby likes it to fall asleep to, but I don't think it needs to stay on all night. LULLABY FEATURE:This is also a fantastic feature to have right on the monitor! The music is quiet and comforting. This does have a timer, so it shuts off after about 15 minutes I think. There is one other nice feature where you can choose what noise level the monitor actually picks up. If you want to hear every little noise they make, you can set it to be highly sensitive, but if you just want to hear actual crying, you set it for a lower sensitivity. This is nice as your baby grows older. OVERALL: This is a very well made monitor with numerous, well thought out features. I would recommend it to a friend!

I was given this product free in exchange for an honest review. Let me tell you that I love this monitor. The lullaby feature is so great! Also, my favorite part is the 2 way talk feature so that not only can I hear my baby, but my baby can hear me. My son was crying and calmed down almost instantly when I was able to talk to him thru the monitor to soothe him. I think this would definitely be worth the money. It would be even better if it had a video camera too.

We have been using this monitor for about two weeks now and I like the monitor! I think it does exactly what we need it for. We have a fairly small apt. and it allows us to lay our 19 month down on our bed or crib to sleep and go do a few things around the apt. without fear that he will wake up without us knowing as it alerts us that he needs us. The sound is very clear and it also has a blue light that flashes to alert you as well. It also has lullaby's which we really have not taken advantage of as of yet. I so think this is a very nice monitor and would definitely recommend it.

This is a good, solid monitor with good battery life. It doesn`t have video of course, but it does have good crisp sound and a solid range throughout our home (about 130 feet). It charges at .5v at 1000mA output, yet isn`t set up to charge over USB. You`ll want to adjust the sound sensitivity to find a sweet spot for your placement and noise tolerance. I love the temperature feature and the back-light and nightlight is surprisingly useful. We never used the lullaby feature. Why this isn`t an excellent rating is that you cannot, apparently, simply buy a couple rechargeable AA batteries for the parent unit. You can put four AA batteries in the base unit. Why not make it easy to replace batteries in the parent unit? We were asked to test this monitor and received a free sample in return for an honest review.

Greetings,I had the pleasure of reviewing Philips Advent 10 DeCT Monitor. At first I thought it would be to technical for me to understand but to my surprise it wasn`t It was easy to use and I felt very secure using the product to keep abreast of the babies movement and noise. The monitor was not bulky but slimline and modern looking. I am satisfied with this product and recommend it!
