I was excited to receive this complimentary as a weesping parent panel test! I have a baby on the way and looking for solutions for having to monitors. It’s no longer essential for me to see my daughter over video monitor I just need to hear when she’s awake. One thing I disliked about my previous monitor was the white noise that was in background that irritated me at night. The Phillips monitor only makes noise when my daughter makes noise and I have such a better sleep myself! The lights and music are just an added bonus my daughter loves. I love how easy it is to take receiver all over my home and works from anywhere in my house. Notifications and temperature reading are something I didn’t realize I needed. Highly recommended

If you are in the market for an audio monitor, look no further - the Philips Avent Dect Audio Baby Monitor with Projector is THE one! First of all this audio monitor provides way more features than most monitors and has certainly exceeded my expectations for an audio monitor (and we have tried many)! There are so many awesome features on this monitor but a few favorite features are: - The projection feature and the music feature, which can be used separately. The monitor projects a starry landscape onto the ceiling and plays several different lullaby songs to help soothe your little one to sleep. I have a 16 month old and he also loved the songs and projection, it helped him lay down to look at the ceiling instead of jumping up and down in protest of going to sleep. :) Also there is a timer for these options, so you can either let them run all night long or set a timer so that the songs and/or projection stop after your baby goes to sleep. - You can monitor the temperature of little one’s room from the parent unit. The monitor allows you to set a temperature range (both high and low temperatures) that you desire and if it goes outside of that temperature range it will notify you. - There is a nightlight feature, which is nice so you don’t have to buy another item for your little one’s room. - This monitor has a separate parent unit that controls all of these features and options from another room in the home so that you do not need to disturb your little one as they sleep/are trying to go to sleep. While using the parent unit, it is very easy to personalize and select which notifications you would like to receive. You can receive sound notifications or choose the vibrate setting. You can control the music, sound and projection. There is even a Night-time setting which dims the lights, display and sound on the parent unit! The security of the Philips Avent Dect Audio Baby Monitor is amazing, we had absolutely no interference with other neighboring houses. The monitor uses Digital Enhanced Cordless Technology (DECT) which basically helps ensure that other non-DECT devices (such as cell phones) do not cause interference with the monitor, allowing for crystal clear listening. Using DECT also assists with the security factor and helps protect the monitor from people hacking into or listening to your monitor. Additionally, the sound transmission range is excellent and goes up to 1,000 feet - we were able to take the parent unit all over our home (even outside on the porch) and we could still hear the sound clearly. The battery life is awesome, far better than previous monitors that we have had. It can last for hours and even overnight without being charged, which is amazing especially if you are a tired parent who forgets to plug it in! An additional bonus feature is that the batteries are rechargeable batteries. A few other pros to mention: Easy set up and linking of the two units, you can talk to your little one from the parent unit, the parent unit lets you know when the 2 units are not linked and therefore not working (for example if the baby unit is not plugged in or turned off). Full disclosure, the instructions were not very detailed - there are no words just pictures. Luckily the setup was very easy, so you didn’t really need instructions. However Phillips may want to include an instruction booklet simply to highlight all of the awesome features that this monitor has and include details on how to access and use these features! So let’s see here... this is a pretty good “camera free” monitor. If you can get past that part, I highly recommend it. The sound quality is great. The battery is great (hope it lasts). The features are great. The temperature monitor is nice but not reliable. The connection range is actually pretty good. We have ours setup with three bedrooms and one bathroom in between and the connection is stronger than other monitors we’ve had. Pretty good overall product. If you want the uncluttered reliability of a monitor that just works, look no farther. If you want a flashy monitor with complicated features and less reliability, and probably a higher price tag keep looking for something else. In the last six years, and three children, I have had six video monitors. They all took way to long to set up. You could never get the camera angle right and I couldn’t see even close to as much as I wanted. After less than a year they all became unreliable, (scary when you have a young baby and you are relying on the monitor) then stopped working entirely which I didn’t know until I woke up. With the Philips Avent Dect Audio Baby Monitor with Projector it just worked. There was no complicated set up, I just plugged it in and turned it on. There is was no linking the units, they did this themselves. As a busy mom with three kids in the room distracting me I accomplished set up in 5 minutes, that made this so easy to use. I love that after that I could control the projector, night light, see the temp, start lullabies, or talk to the baby all with ease. And of course hear anything at all very clearly. I hear my boys roll over, sigh, shift, even pass gas (gross but impressive for a monitor). The unit does not come with instructions, although there is a link to a manual online, this was not necessary as it was so intuitive to use. Also easy to use were the multiple options to set up notifications, I especially liked that I could have the parent unit vibrate with or with out having the volume on. I will say when I first plugged the unit in and turned on the night light and projector I was underwhelmed by the amount of light they gave off. I figured I would need another night light in the room as my youngest is scared of the dark, while during the day it is not impressive, at night if your eyes are adjusted to the dark, I was pleasantly surprised that the brightness was just enough. You could see in the whole room with out having the lighting be jarring upon waking. Nothing extra was necessary, no one was scared with this on. As to battery life and connection/range I can’t give specifics as they are far more than you need. I haven’t seen the battery even close to half after using it for several hours. It does sit on its charger on my night stand while I sleep. I have had no interference problems, no static, no lost connection. This monitor works everywhere in my house, which is two story, with no difficulty. In short I am grateful for the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing this to me in exchange for my honest review. This so very seamlessly and effortlessly filled a need in our house that has not been satisfactorily meet until now. I wish I had this 6 years ago.

I really love this monitor. I was looking for a non video monitor, and actually received this from the weeSpeing parent panel. I couldn’t be more thrilled with it. The thing that sets this monitor apart is the music and light projection! My son needs music to sleep and I love that this product has all these things combined in one product. Once you have a baby you realize how much “stuff” accumulates. I love that this product replaces three different items in such a small footprint. It is awesome!!

I was very excited to try this baby monitor as the one I had had been broken for some time now. I previously used a monitor that had both video and audio so I was curious to see how well I would like one that was just audio. As soon as I started to play around with the Philips Avent Audio Monitor, I was in love. To be honest i haven’t researched baby monitors in years and didn’t know a monitor could come with so many features! The features that stand out the most to me are the night light, the star projection, the lullabies, and the temperature monitoring. I really like that it is easy to customize and isn’t just on a standard setting. The look of it is very clean and sleek and comes with a rechargeable battery which is a plus. I usually leave the monitor on in the kids room all day and night so the battery ran out pretty quick which isn’t too much of a problem. Overall I am so excited to have this monitor as my own and hope it will last a lot longer then my last one! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Monitor.

I was given the Philips Avent Dect Audio Baby Monitor (with projector) to try as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel and I love it! We had purchased an older version of this monitor before my first child was born, so I was excited to try the updated version to see how it compared. First of all, the look of the newer model is much nicer! I love the white/gray coloring (versus the blue of the older version) - it just seems much more updated and looked nicer in my child's room and in ours since I keep the parent audio unit on my nightstand. Also, I really like the projection feature! It projects different colors/shapes on the ceiling and provides enough light at bedtime to keep the room dimly lit, but only stays on for 15 minutes, which I like. One last comparison between the two is that the older model seemed to light up more frequently when it picked up background noise (like the white noise machine in my child's bedroom when it was too loud), which was always really bright in our bedroom, but the newer model only lights up when it detects actual crying or noises that my child is making. When setting up the monitor, everything is very easy to personalize. I like that you can change the features to vibrate, set up cry alerts, etc. My child's room is across the house from mine, so I like that I can trust the monitor to alert me if my child is awake or crying. Also, I like that the battery can last for hours so if I have it off of the charger, it will last throughout the evening before needing to be recharged (which I usually do overnight, but it will beep when the battery is low so you know to recharge it before it would just stop working). I also like the music feature (it plays several different songs and there are buttons to start/stop/skip them) and the small nightlight on the top - I have used that a lot in the middle of the night! Honestly, we chose a Philips monitor from the beginning with our first child because we trusted that it would be the best audio monitor choice for us, but I like this one even more than the older version. It seems to have all of the features I liked/trusted, but comes with a new look and a cool new projector feature! I would definitely purchase this one given the choice again!

I was excited to use the nightlight feature and the star projection. We have used 2 other star projectors and the batteries keep dying (due to forgetting to turn it off in the bright morning light) or mysteriously dying. The parent monitor acts as a remote that can turn on features of the monitor if you forgot to turn them on. The sleep timer on music, nightlight, and projector also has helped avoid those mornings when I couldn't tell the lights were left on. My son is one and sleeps fairly well. It is rare for him to wake up and not return to sleep. It was to my surprise on the second night of having this monitor that the cry alarm went off. The cry alarm is a bright light alert that blinks very when there are loud noises like crying. I got up and realized I had left his window shade up and the bright lights outside were keeping him up. The battery seemed to hold up well with little charge. I take it out with me to work in the yard and the signal is very clear. The hardest thing about the monitor was figuring out how to turn on the baby's side of the monitor. The manual is not very descriptive on how to start it. You need hold the power button much more than the 3 seconds. I chose a different monitor when my son was born because is was cute. This monitor is not an adorable owl, but I was I had gotten one more like this. The bright light alarm would have calmed my fears of exhaustion allowing me to sleep through his tears and need. I am glad that I was part of the weeSpring Parent Panel that sent me this product.

First let me say, my daughter was going to sleep with the TV on because she liked the lights and sounds. She transitioned to this projector so easily! First night we tried this she fell asleep quickly. I love how easy the it was to set up the notifications and receiver and battery last for so long! I'm basically obsessed with this monitor. I'm so happy the weeSpring Parent Panel gave me this monitor in exchange for my review!

This monitor really does it all, I’ve never seen so many features on the baby monitor! The sound quality is fantastic and I love that you have a private connection and don’t get interference from other devices- it feels secure and simple. I previously owned a video monitor that connected to my phone. I loved the idea of it, however it connected to my phone through Wi-Fi so every time I lost connection (which happens often for us) the monitor would need to be reconnected. I don’t know how many times the monitor had turned off and I could not hear the baby when she started crying, I was constantly checking to make sure it was on. I also owned a regular audio baby monitor that cost me somewhere around $30. It got the job done, I could hear baby #2 when he cried. The Phillips Avent Dect Audio baby monitor has a much larger range, and crystal clear sound – I love that!. It looks sleek and professional and can be easily wiped off if needed (there aren’t big gaps between buttons for gunk to get in it). I love all of the features though they are a bit overkill in my opinion. I think with my second child I am starting to like things a little bit more simple. Especially when you have other caretakers such as grandparents who are helping out with the little ones. I had my parents come over and asked them to set the baby monitor up, they had the hardest time figuring it out. The instructions are all pictures and no writing, they were complaining about it the whole night lol. This definitely is a monitor meant for a little more tech savvy parents. That being said I do love the features. It is so nice to be able to carry the monitor around with you with such a long range – I can actually go into the garage to clean out the car or pick up in the yard and still hear the baby clearly which makes me VERY happy! We have small AC units in our rooms, sometimes it is humid or hotter or colder than the units are set for so the temperature gage is nice. I like the nightlight and lullabies a lot. We have a white noise maker that plays all night long, I prefer that through the night but the lullabies are nice while we are nursing or rocking at bedtime. And my kiddos love the projection, though my 3 year old would probably like for it to stretch further across the celling. I also love being able to control the lights and music from another room so I don’t have to go in and disturb the baby the change them. There are features to set reminders to feed or nap which is nice. We feed on demand so we haven’t used that feature but I could see it useful for those on a schedule. I do like that you can mute the parent monitor, glance at the screen, and see the noise level and a notification “baby crying”. I don’t usually use the two way talk feature (typically if the baby wakes up he needs milk and my voice won’t do it) however it has come in handy when the kids are playing upstairs and I’ve been able to use it to tell them to settle down or to come downstairs for one reason or another. My favorite added detail that I absolutely love is being able to easily pick up or replace the parent portion on the charging stand, it is so nice not to have to plug it in with the cord and unplug it each time you bring it with you. It doesn’t seem like a huge deal but it saves time to just set the device down on the charger rather than plug it in, or grab it quickly to leave the room- and recharge at night- definite ease of use! I have yet to run out of battery- it lasts forever (18 hour I think- defiantly enough to get me through the day! Great Monitor! I was given this Monitor to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.
