I’ve been using Philips i9000-series shavers for about 50 years, so I think I’ve earned the right to have an opinion! 😂 In those 50 years, I’m only on my third shaver, and I’m now using the i9000 Ultra. I absolutely love it! What amazes me is that every new generation has somehow managed to make a shaver I already loved even better. The i9000 Ultra gives me an incredible shave, and Philips continues to find ways to improve the technology and the overall experience. And then there are all the bells and whistles — and yes, I love them too! The lights, displays and little high-tech touches probably aren’t necessary to get my face shaved, but let’s be honest… they sure make shaving a lot more fun! 😂 After 50 years, I’m obviously pretty loyal to Philips, but that loyalty didn’t happen by accident. The quality, performance and continued innovation have kept me coming back for decades. Three shavers in 50 years says a lot about the product. At this rate, I may have to live another 50 years just to see what Philips comes up with next! Five stars all the way. Keep up the great work, Philips — and keep the light show! 😄

This is a state of the art, as far as Men's Grooming. The shave is the closest that I have ever had. As I been using an electric shaver, at least 45 years, that is an accomplishment.

Really pleased with this purchase! First time I’ve had a razor with using the daily cleaning solution plus UV light in the charger base. Only disappointment was lack of a wall outlet charger for the included USB cable. However, I had the wall charger from my last razor and that works well. Plus the blades on this newer model are compatible with spare blades I already kept on hand for my older razor. So a nice upgrade without having to buy different spare blades. I really like the self cleaning solution, seems to keep the blades in much better daily shape and the shaves are better as a result.

This shaver is replacing an older Phillips Norelco arcitect shaver. It is a pleasure to use. It delivers a closer shave, and the electronics make it easier to get the perfect shave. You can always tell by the color ring if your technique is correct. It measures the pressure as well as the direction of shaving. The one drawback is that it doesn't have a built-in trimmer, you must remove shaver head and replace it with the included trimmer.

I was pleasantly surprised about the products great features. The self cleaning function and the digital display are pretty awesome. Additionally, I really like being able to customize your shaving experience with the app.

I had used a Philips electric for a number of years but was looking for a replacement. I ordered a model that I thought would be good, but it turned out poorly. I saw this model advertised but was hesitant because of the price. I knew I would use it for many years and decided to make the investment. A very wise choice, indeed! This razor is a gem: smooth, comfortable, efficient. I love it…!

I used a competing well known shaver for years. I decided to try the Phillips Norelco i9000 Prestige Ultra shaver. It did take a few weeks for me to get used to moving the i9000 in a rotary motion on my face rather than a back and forth motion as done with my old shaver. I initially tried two different electric shaver pre-shaves which did help the i9000 glide easier over my face. But they both had a strong odor (even the one that was 'odorless') which were disagreeable to me. Over time, I've found that the i9000 glides on my face fine without any pre-shave. This shaver has colored lights telling you the optimum pressure to use. I found that I get the good green light when I press the shaver down an amount that I think is normal. I've also found that I don't need to go over the hard to shave areas around my jaw line as much as when I used my old shaver. At the end of each shave, you easily pop open the shave head and run the shave head under water to clean out the shave stubble. This is much easier than the cleaning method for my old shaver. Every once in awhile I do use the special cleaning device that came with my shaver. It's very easy to use but I'm not sure that it's necessary. The main reason that I really like the Norelco rotary shaver is that it is quiet! My old shaver would rudely awaken me every morning with its loud sound. The Norelco rotary shaver has a quiet hum.
