Your headset will work with any device that supports the same Bluetooth profiles (A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP) as your headset. (See also “What is a Bluetooth profile?“).
Disclaimer: Some manufacturers use implementations of Bluetooth that are not 100% compatible. In these rare instances compatibility can be compromised. Refer to the user manual of your device.
Question:
Will my headset be compatible with any brand of source device?
Bluetooth is a global standard, and devices carrying the Bluetooth logo have to undergo a qualification process, with the Bluetooth SIG, that checks for compatibility. Devices supporting the same Bluetooth profiles (see also “What is a Bluetooth profile?“) can therefore communicate with each other. Philips Bluetooth stereo headsets support the Headset and Hands Free Profile for voice communication and A2DP and AVRCP profile for music streaming.
For the same reason, different manufacturers' devices will work together. For example, you can use a Philips headset with a Nokia cell phone.
