BD Live is a feature on some Blu-ray discs that offers you access to the content on servers from movie studios.
BD-Live features have included Internet chats, scheduled chats with the director, Internet games, downloadable features, downloadable quizzes, and downloadable movie trailers
If your Blu-ray player is connected to the internet you can access BD Live features via the Disc's BD-J (*) menu.
In order to enjoy BD-live functionality on the Blu-ray player, the Blu-ray disc being playback must support BD-live feature. Most Blu-ray Discs that have BD-J menus do not allow a Blu-ray Disc player to automatically resume a movie from the point at which it was stopped.
(*) BD-J is a version of Sun Microsystems´ Java programming language that was designed to be implemented in Blu-ray players.
