LCD monitor with SoftBlue Technology

Outstanding resolution and color. The base could be a little sturdier (maybe) but great product overall.

I bought this monitor based upon reviews from others users.. I like the monitor design and clarity. The touch sensitive controls are VERY delicate and changing options can be a real pain. I did not see a contrast option available so playing around with the video option has not been a good experience. I like the monitor and it does project a nice image. I would purchase another one if the controls were not so sensitive.

I bought this monitor after evaluating other named brands because of following reasons: - Warranty - both parts and labour is 4 years. - Speakers are integrated in the monitor. Good value for the same price. The claim is on softblue technology but when I compare with my laptop screen, that one is more softblue than this monitor. However, Its cool and the display is just right for my purpose. Highly recommended.

The biggest problem with this monitor is that while the picture quality is very good, the touch controls for adjustment are very very hard to use. The remedy is a software program called SmartControl---but it's no good too. The latest version of SamrtControl, v 2.4.0.1 crashes itself as soon as the main splash screen appears. So, poor controls on the monitor, and software controls that crash and fail. I asked tech support for a better version of the software. They directed me on how to download the exact version I already told them I had. Very poor tech support.

The monitor is fine. Only 2 pieces to assemble........sounds easy, right? You will put it together and it will lean forward. You will do it again thinking you must have done something wrong, and it will lean forward, almost tipping over. You will look at the instructions (or lack of them) look at the picture on the box, and do it all over again thinking you must have done something wrong. Guess what, it will lean forward again. You will look for a hinge or something that might move it back the way it should be and you will find nothing. I put it back in the box, took it back to Staples and said you put it together or i'll take a refund. The manager put it together exactly the way I did and the took his hand firmly and pushed it back. He said when they first got them in his employees were afraid that they would break it if they did what he did and what I didn't want to do. Well now it is fine. However the only other complaint I have is that the controls for contrast,etc. are very finicky. Oh, by the way, when I tried to call Phillips, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and then disconnected.....nice.
