A life saver during the West Coast Smoke

[Employee of philipsglobal] This Air Purifier has been incredibly valuable to my dog and myself. We have horrible air conditions around the region and the 3 air purifiers I own have saved us. These are not for huge rooms but I do have 3 in my living room (and move 1 to my bedroom) which really help out. I have had no coughing or allergies from the horrible smoke we have seen this year here in Washington State.

Pros

Cleans the air. Makes the smoke hardly noticeable inside.

Cons

Hard to find online as people keep buying them.

Does a great job but needs a small addition of INT

Great at filtering combined with a remarkably good air quality sensor. I have multiple other air quality sensors inside and outside my home (Kaiterra, Purple Air, Eve, Netatmo) and this does a very good job of seeing PM2.5 and VOC and ramping up the air flow to meet demand. What I’d really like to see is a way to automatically power it down when a nearby door or window is left open. IFTTT or other compatibility would be needed to shut it down. This would be useful to preserve the filter lifespan as this isn’t designed to clean outdoor air, just indoors (when doors are shut or mostly shut). Another way of doing this would be scheduling. You may say that a smart plug would be a way around this but the air quality sensor runs even when the filter is off so I’d lose the alerts that tell me when air quality is really bad. Filters are expensive but that’s the price of any true Hepa filter with GAC. Apparently few of these have sold so there’s only one company selling the filters through Amazon and that’s it. Hopefully they’ll stay supported for a while as I don’t want to replace this quality combined filter and sensor.

Pros
