Blu-ray Disc/ DVD player

It's a little slow to react to the commands but overall it's pretty nice.

Product Price is very impressive and affordable to have both DVD & Blu-Ray. It takes repeated attempts before the Disc drawer finally opens to insert Disc.This is frustrating and many times apprehensive if "it will work this time."

Built in video apps respond slowly to remote clicks. great picture quality for dvds and bluray discs. i love that it also has the weather, vudu, netflix, youtube, facebook, picasa, twitter, and pandora!

Received this as a gift. Works really great except that I have problems with Wi-Fi connecting to NETFLIX.

The wifi is a great feature except does not have amazon prime

I love this blu-ray player, it is very easy to use. So far I have not had any problems with it like I have had with other players. It is easy to connect and fast. The only thing that I do have a problem with is the Netflix (which is what I use mostly) it doesn't let me start a movie from the beginning. For example if I watched a movie and stopped in the middle, and I wanted to start watching it again from the beginning I would either fast forward to the end or rewind to the beginning. Either than that it is amazing.

DVD player seems to be OK but recently we have had trouble with it playing some of the more recent Blu-ray disc and have been unable to find an update or reason for the problem.

Philips Blu-ray Disc/ DVD player BDP2205 is almost perfect but there's no "Hulu" other than that the product works as expected.

Disappointing product. Having owned 2 other Smart Wifi-enabled Blu-ray DVD players I was expecting at least as much or more from this purchase. The setup is easy, the connection very fast and the streaming thus far is smooth. The DVD player performs as it should. The added features, and the ability to add any apps, is a major disappointment. Netflix is a given and I appreciate Pandora, but from there the options fall steeply. VUDU (can we say "Walmart" stooge?) is not something I ever frequent unless I have a movie stored there. There is no option for Amazon Prime, Crackle, Flixster, or any other worthwhile service, nor does seem to be any ability to add them. Seriously makes me consider returning this and for an extra $10-20 get something with a little more bang for my buck. Also, the remote feels flimsy and the selector button layout for moving the "cursor" is poorly designed; I find my thumb overlapping more than one push-button and "Oops" the wrong choice is made. Overall wifi/dvd performance is solid; there is just no meat on this player that makes it a recommendable choice. If all you are looking for is a blu-ray player with Netflix, its a good player but not a great value.

Terrible remotes. YouTube stopped working after a year. Customer service told me it's probably "normal wear and tear" on the remotes. It's NOT normal wear and tear when TWO remotes go bad after less than a year. Garbage product. And then there's customer support that pretty much makes it YOUR problem for their inferior product. A little background, I bought two of these players less than two years ago. I used one and left the other one boxed. After one year, the first remote stopped working (summer 2016). I opened the other player and used its remote and it died last week. New batteries didn't work and I have two players and no remotes. I know I can get universal remotes for these, but that's besides the point. Bottom line, bad product and a large corporation that doesn't stand behind its name.
