Blu-ray Disc player

this is a very good product. the sound on is very good and plays blu-rays and well.

Product is very easy to use and the picture quality (even when playing DVDs) is very good. Great price for the quality.

This blu-ray player was very easy to use right out of the box. The image processor was able to up-scale the older dvd titles to give a almost blu-ray image quality. I do not feel the need to re-purchase titiles in blu-ray. I use this player w/my Philips flat screen tv so the combination, I think, gives me the best image quality for my home. Good price

This product has made movie watching an unreal experience. Color and sound unbeatable. I highly recommend for movie buffs.

I have owned this Blu-ray player for one year and it would not play disks around the second month on owning it. It was not broke, it needed the firmware to be upgraded and a 2g SD memory card to play new movies. It took me several attempts and a few hours to figure how to install the new firmware upgrade. As of right now it is still working well just very slow to load and play Blu-ray's. I have a newer Blu-ray player of a different brand it loads and plays Blu-rays a lot faster. This is one of the first generation of Blu-ray players and is built well and should last a long time.

I bought this product about 2 years ago and it started out working wonderfully. Recently, it hasn't been playing newer movies and keeps saying "Disc format not supported". Strange enough, it still plays some of the movies. I can't explain why some play and some do not, but it quite annoying when you rent a movie from redbox and only a few of them play. I wish Philips would come out with an updated firmware for this product.

My wife and I received this Blu-Ray player as a wedding gift. We were really happy with it for about a year. The picture and sound quality is good. Over the last year we have had problems watching newer Blu-Rays. I tried adding an 8 gig flash memory but that did work. The issue is Philips hasn't released a firmware upgrade since 2010 so we can't watch some newer Blu-Ray discs.

I have only used this player maybe 100 times in the 4 years I've own it. Now it will not open I have no warranty on it so I will open it up myself to try to fix it. but when I did use it ,it play fine.

This thing is extremely slow. We're talking sometimes 5 minutes from the time you insert the dvd until it will start playing something. The design is good not great, and overall I would say in this instance "I got what I paid for."

Worked OK with only a few problems the first 1.5 years. Then it just stopped loading. I finally stopped cleaning it and cleaning discs and all the other suggestions to make it work and put it where it belongs - the trash.
