DVD recorder/VCR

i have owned two of these dvd/vhs recorders over the last 12 years. they are extremely easy to use and they are very reliable. i had the first one for over 10 years and i think it finally wore out. i loved it so much that i had to find and purchase another just like it. i would recommend this one with a five star rating.

I used this all the time to record movies and shows for when we traveled out of state. Worked great for the grand kids. They could still watch their favorite shows while traveling. The only issue I have had is when I hooked up the HDMI cable it messed up everything. It got the DVD player stuck closed and it will not open. The only way to watch TV stations now is on the VHS side and they do not come in well on that side the TV stations worked better being sent through the DVD side. I can not find another machine of the same quality or value any where with a built in tuner. I would buy another of the same machine if I could fine it online or in stores. Thanks for a great product. Mine is about 3 years old so it is good quality.

The DVD recorder never worked right. The maximum amount of time I could record was 2hrs. It always recorded half of what it was supposed to--so if it said that at a particular setting it would record for an hour, it would only record for 1/2 hour. I mainly used the VCR (because the DVD recorder performed so poorly). It broke after 2 yrs. One would think that the technology for making VCRs is robust enough that it should last much longer

I have tried for days to set this up and nothing works! What a waste of money and time. The VCR does not record, it has no sound at all. The print in the guide is so small you have to use a magnifying glass and the directions do not work!
