It's VERY unfortunate Philips had discontinued it.
This is an excellent DVD player. But it has been discontinued. I hope Philips has replaced their Series 2000 with a superior model. Although, I can't imagine how this DVD player could be improved. Maybe by making a similar DVD player that is MP-3 & MP-4 compatible. Which the Philips DVD Player, Series 2000 is not.
Pros
A perfect DVD player that plays CDs & all forms of discs. It's a "region free" DVD player//plays DVDs from all regions.
Cons
Philips has discontinued this Series 2000 Model.

dvp2800 dvd player
i throughly recommend this dvd player. i bought this thru fingerhut to replace my old magavox dvd player which had taken a dump. so easy to set up, im geeky enough, but this took only about 5-10 mins to set up and i was happily watching my mash dvds again. very sleek design and slim, space saving, a plus! video display very excellent considering i have an tv that is 8 yrs old. remote is smaller than my old dvd player remote but way mroe simpler to operate. highly recommend, kudos guys!!!!!!
