Philips Saeco SyntiaSuper-automatic espresso machine

the only complain and again I don't call it a complain, it's the small water container, puck container and coffee bean container, but then if you want a small coffee machine with all the bells then you have to sacrifice something. I had many coffee machines in my time but a better tasting espresso, this beats them all and also the one push cappuccino is awesome.

I've had this machine for 6 months now and I love it!!! It is very easy to use and makes the best cappuccino - better than the cafes. The foam is very thick you can almost stand a spoon in it. My friends love to come over and have a cappuccino at my house! My husband makes his own coffee in the mornings now with the push of a button! My coffee is always hot!

The Saeco machine makes excellent coffee, espresso, and cappuccino. It's easy to use, once you get the hang of which button to push. If I had any complaints it would be that the water container has to be refilled too frequently, but to have a larger container would likely require a larger footprint, and I do love how the machine looks on my countertop.

I love this machine - its looks and the excellent coffee and milk drinks I prepare with it. It's smaller size mean that it fits well into my galley kitchen. It takes some time to get completely up to speed on the features, but the adjustments for drink prep, routine daily maintenance, and the cleaning/descaling are very easy and quickly became second nature. The milk steamer is a pannarello with both the ease and limitations that implies, and gives very hot water. The only reason I don't give performance 5 stars is that the water temp for brewing is not as high as I would like, even on the highest adjustment.

I may not be as sophisicated a coffee drinker as some, but I am very happy with this machine. I've only had it a few days, but have made espresso, cappuccino, and regular coffee with it and all are delicious. We were using a French press for our morning coffee, and this is just as tasty and much easier. Once you get the hang of it, the adjustments are easy. As far as what other reviewers have disliked, I can't complain about the milk frothing, as I find it perfect; and as to temperature, the initial temp is hot enough for me, and if you warm the cup the coffee will stay hot longer. But again, I'm not a coffee connoisseur, just someone who likes a good cup of coffee, espresso, and cappuccino. This machine does that for me!

Traded up from the Saeco Syntia Espresso Machine to my newer Saeco Syntia Cappuccino Espresso Machine. Liked the newer design with the LED screen and function buttons easier to read. I like the easier access to the front water tank and the ground container. I removed the milk frothier for I have a separate frothier. Makes an excellent creamy espresso, fine grind and brews hot and very easy to clean, beautifully built. Consistent espresso cup after cup.

Overall I am happy with the purchase. It makes good espresso and is easy to use. You can program how much espresso and milk you want. It is sold a as a cappuccino maker but I would say it just makes lattes. This is fine with me but if you are really looking for a machine that makes cappuccino you might be disappointed. One thing I do not like about the machine is that the milk is not hot enough. There is a setting to make the espresso warmer but not the milk. I had the machine for 3 weeks so cannot comment on it's long term durability which reading reviews is an issue with a lot of machines.

I don't think my family will ever go back to a regualr drip coffee maker. We love just pushing a button and having a wonderful, fresh cup of coffee.

I had this unit for a week and was disappointed in how it performed. Don't get me wrong as it makes a mean cup of espresso and a nice cappuccino but I was constantly filling up both the water tank and the bean hopper and having to empty the drip tray. It was used by just my wife and myself and we didn't expect to be doing this so often. I returned the machine and purchased the Saeco Intelia One Touch Cappuccino machine instead which is a slightly larger machine but holds considerably more water and beans and has a much larger drip tray which I absolutely love and highly recommend!!!

While I commend your customer support team for the manner in which they handled problems with the product, I cannot honestly rate the Syntia favorably. I think the manufacturig of the products shows it to be made with quality in mind but the functional design and engineering was poor. not very consistent, problematic from the get go. Water tray fills constantly, runs out of water quickly. Should design with a water line hook up and in line filter for more convenience
