This little but mighty light is super simple to assemble and use. Stop the antidepressants and buy and use this light! I am a seamstress and have it next to my sewing machine for use while working. Put it next to your computer. I had a lifted mood and increased energy from the very first use. I worked as a social worker in a Skilled Nursing Facility where we documented the decreased need for antidepressants when we used light therapy. Even won an award for our project so it is not just me. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to make sure you have a happier 2016.

I have been able to stay of the antidepressants through winter. The regular use of this light has also eased my severe fibromyalgia symptoms. i I recommend this for EVERYONE!

My mom gifted the goLITE to me for Christmas this year. It is now permanently affixed on my desk at work, unless it's traveling around the room visiting my co-workers. Who also have had great results! It's fun and so easy to use! We have thoroughly enjoyed this gift of light in our billing office, and look forward to many happy months of winter ahead! I needed help with winter blues. I was seeing a definite pattern of having the blues set in as days get shorter. I would find it difficult to concentrate and to get things done. I find that if I use the light for 15 minutes most days while I am having my morning coffe, this does the trick for me! My exposure to therapy lights had been pretty much limited to TV sitcoms, so I was thankful to find that the device is not huge; it is the size of a large slice of bread. There is no need, in fact it is not recommended that you sit staring at it directly. You can read or sip coffee with the light beside you.

My husband had been dealing with increasingly more severe depression every winter ( we live in Idaho, where winter can last up to 6 months). I was at wit's end to know what to do with him, as he had no desire to do anything for himself. And he refused medication of any kind. Finally, someone mentioned that he might have SADs, and that we should look into it. I did a LOT of research online, and found this golite for about $130, and it was the best investment I've ever made! That was about 5 yrs ago, and this has been working ever since! I know it sounds crazy, but this really does improve his moods. If you do this, take the circadian rythm test first, so you know how long & best timing to use the light, & I also reccomend a timer on the lamps, ( we just used a cheap chicken-timer from the local hardware store ~ it doesn't do the gradual thing, but it does work) as this is a cue to the brain to wake up, which then enables the SADS sufferer to be able to use the light, which makes everyone else a LOT happier. ;-D I have been telling people about this awesome little light for 5 yrs now, I TOTALLY reccomend it!

I moved to Tacoma, WA where the sun shines 18% of the year. The sun simultor and the goLite Blue have really helped my depression! I highly recommend to anyone.

i am pleased with my new go lite blu and i use it every day. i mounted it on the top of my computer monitor, after talking to a very helpful person in customer service, who said she thought it would o k to try to see if the monitor or lite would cause interference and it proved to be safe for both. i mounted it up there with some very strong adhesive strips and it has stayed in place and caused no problems. i think that it might be helping my depression.

I had found during the Fall & Winter months an increasing sluggishness in my mornings & days. I had a very difficult time getting going in the mornings & often found myself fighting the desire to take a nap or go to sleep later in the day as well. A friend told me about her energy light & how well it worked for her, so I thought I would give it a try. I am amazed!!!! I LOVE my energy light & can't live without it, it's part of my morning routine & keeps me going throughout the day. I highly recommend this energy light & the other energy lights by Phillips as well, they are all wonderful, very effective lights. I suffer yearly from the winter blues and Seasonal Affective Disorder. I either use the energy light as I get ready in the morning, or use it when I get to work first thing. If I don't use it in the morning- I notice. I cannot live without this product during the winter months- especially when it comes to the shortest and darkest days of the year. I have started out with one of the smaller energy lights, but would love to try the other, larger lights as well. I reccommend this product to anyone suffering from S.A.D. as well!
