I 3D printed a storage tray and conveniently placed the trimer with the 24 tools on my vanity top. I already recuperated the investment with a do-it-yourself haircut. Although information on how to use the attachments, is limited there are plenty of You-Tube video to help out.

Thanks for clarifying. You mean the I purchased the Philips MG9575/49, and overall I like how it performs. However, I have two important complaints. First, my package appears to be missing an attachment that should have been included. Second, the millimeter (mm) size markings on the gray guide combs are very difficult to see. The numbers are too small and have very little contrast, making it hard to quickly identify the correct comb size. This is especially inconvenient when changing between different trimming lengths. I hope Philips can help resolve the missing attachment issue and consider making the comb size markings larger and easier to read on future models. That version clearly explains the problem with the comb size markings, which is useful feedback for Philips.

Overall, a very good trimmer. I bought this to supplement my Philips Norelco razor (8000 series). Both were purchased at Costco (although not at the same time.) The Norelco razor gives me an excellent shave but only a fair trim on the sideburns, around the ears, etc. so I was looking for a trimmer that could do a better job. The Philips trimmer gives me an excellent trim where needed. Holds charge well and is easy to use although care should be used when switching attachments. I would have given the trimmer a 5 star rating except for the adjustable 1mm-3mm "precision trimming comb" - the rotary adjustment knob is nearly impossible to turn (compare with the other adjustable trimmer which uses a lever to adjust the comb depth--a very easy adjustment.) Other notes: Philips needs to switch to a universal USB C charge cord (a seemingly "industry standard" for consumer rechargeable products such as phones, tablets, etc.) and make the cord 15-18 inches long. A "damp rated" charger would also be nice.

I love it so far . It’s small and perfect for my needs especially traveling. Didn’t know it had so many fittings . But I love it and it’s very simple to use .

The range of options and accessories of this trimmer is huge. The plus side is that it provides a large range of potential, but the downside is that it's hard to find out how to use them. There's very tittle instruction provided, so you have to rely on YouTube videos to figure out how to use them. That said, for the attachments I've been able to use confidently, the trimmer works very well. Outlining beards and trimming moustaches are much easier then with other trimmers I've tried. The trimmer has a lot of power and the battery life is very good. I'd love to see a structured series of videos showing exactly how to use the attachments. The price I paid at Costco made it a good value for the money.

Multiple Defective Units and Failed Replacement Process I have been a Philips customer for over 10 years, but my experience with the MG9525/40 and MG9526/40 has completely changed my view of the brand. I went through four units, and the majority of them had serious defects—many pointing to the same underlying design flaw. The first unit (MG9525/40) suffered a critical battery failure after only a few uses. It turned on by itself while charging, became completely unresponsive, and would not turn off even when unplugged. I had to let the battery drain completely, after which it became permanently unusable. The replacement unit arrived, and to my surprise had an entirely different issue. The adjustable guards would rattle & scrape directly against the blade simply from holding the device, causing visible and audible scraping. This not only damaged the components but also cut my skin and drew blood. This is a clear safety concern. I was then sent a newer model (MG9526/40), but it had the exact same guard defect. Every adjustable guard rattled and scraped against the blade, requiring manual pressure to prevent contact. At this point, it was clear this was not an isolated issue but a recurring design problem. I requested a refund instead of a replacement but it was denied due to no longer being within the required timeframe for refunds. After explicitly requesting NOT to receive another MG952-series device, I was ASSURED I would be sent a different, higher-tier model. Instead, I received the same MG9526/40 again. While this unit miraculously did not have the same guard defect, it is still a weak and ineffective trimmer with a laughably weak and inconsistent cutting performance. Out of curiosity I purchased a $5 no-name trimmer from the clearance section of a famous “off-price retail store” which ended up out performing my Philips replacement. As a long-time customer, it is clear that the build quality of Philips grooming products has declined significantly. After multiple defective units and a replacement process that did not follow through on what was promised, I will never purchase any type of Philips made product and will not ever recommend their products to anyone.
