Multimedia Speakers 2.0

I know this means nothing since these speakers are long past production, but I just had to express how I feel about these speakers. I've owned these speakers for roughly 15 years and they've never faltered. The sound quality is as good today as the day I unboxed them back in highschool. I'm a very heavy computer user. These babies have been pumping sounds for thousands of hours and show no signs of quitting. They are so solid, they might out live me. I'm so blown away by the heart and soul put into designing these speakers that if I ever have an option to buy Phillips brand, I do. I worked as a tech salesman at a big box retailer for about 4 years, and I pushed a lot of Phillips. I can't speak highly enough about this company. I'd love to, but I won't get started about an old Phillips portable CD player I owned. I'll just say that CDs went out of style so it never got a chance to die. Thanks Phillips!

Excellent all around speaker, The Treble Highs are great and the lows of the bass are exceptional, exactly what I'd expect for these speakers. However, the bass was very unexpected. The Small bass driver in the bottom is no joke and can get pretty loud and create a good amount of excursion without a single bit of auditory distortion. -------- I've once mistakenly cranked these speakers to max volume on my amplified soundcard and the drivers didn't blow to my surprise ,this is a good example of Philips quality. -------- I only wish they were a solid black color instead. And the 80 watt amplifying box is a little bulky and gets warm to only be supplying 80w, but that is no big deal.
