Philips AventAnti-colic bottle gift set

I received this bottle set from the weeSpring Parent Panel. We've only been using the bottles for about 2 weeks (part time split with breast feeding) and have seen minor improvements in gas and spit up post feeding. I assume progress will continue with increased usage. Pacifier shape and design are good - I do wish they were the same as other Philips Avent Size 1 to transition to/from their regular bottles. Bottles are easy to clean with less parts than Dr. Browns. I liked having the 2 different sizes to grow with. The cleaning brush is sturdy and lasts longer than most. I really liked the clear pacifier because it's not a distraction and you can easily tell when it needs to be cleaned. The pacifier cover is great! I would recommend this set to new/expecting parents.

I tried out the Phillips Avent Gift Set with my 7 week old baby. This would be a great set for new parents, but it did not work well for my baby because she just doesn't like bottles (this is the third brand we have tried and she doesn't like any of them. I would definitely purchase this set for a new parent because it has everything you need to get started. The pacifier and brush bottle cleaner are a great addition to the set. Even though my baby did not like the bottles yet, I am going to try again in a few weeks and see if she will talk them a little bit easier I received this bottle set from the weeSpring Parent Panel

I was given this product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. My 5 week old is a huge fan of these bottles. The flow is a little fast compared to other bottles he has used, but since he tends to chug his milk it is not an issue. In fact, I think the faster flow helped him sleep better at night! He gets a bottle right before bedtime, so it fills him up more before he falls asleep :) The bottles were also easy to clean, and a nice shape for holding / feeding. The bottle brush left something to be desired. Since the bristles are only on one side, it takes longer to clean compared to a brush that has bristles all the way around. My son wasn't a fan of the pacifiers, unfortunately. He's been very picky about pacifiers, though, and has only taken one brand so far. Overall, would definitely recommend this set to a new parent. The variety of bottles is very useful to have on hand for a growing baby!

I had not planned on introducing a bottle this soon due to my last child having some nipple confusion after getting a bottle too soon. After 4 years of breast-feeding experience I expected everything to go easy this time around. Unfortunately we have dealt with many issues this time around; weight loss, tongue-tied and a sucking dysfunction. So because of all of our issues we introduced a bottle by a week old. My son is currently breast and bottle fed, he probably gets 3-5 bottles a day. This bottle set is a perfect starter set and has everything you need, it would make a great gift. You get two different sized bottles, which is great for when they start taking larger feedings. You also get two different “speed” nipples, stage 1 for newborns so it is a slower flow and stage 2 which comes out faster for older babies. My one complaint with this set is that even with the stage 1 nipples when turned upside down drops do come out. Typically you do not want the newborn to get milk too quickly so they have to suck to have any milk come out, not a huge deal but an observation. This bottle set is well made and does not have a lot of pieces to clean, because who has time for that! My son has had a lot of gas and spitting up in his young life, I will say both issues seem to be a little better after introducing this bottle compared to other bottles that claim to help with gas issues. The bottle does at it claims and keeps the nipple full of milk preventing air getting to the baby. He has also been able to go back and forth between bottle and breast without any issues. This set also comes with a pacifier, which is cute and simple. My son is the only one of my three babies who has liked pacifiers, which is wonderful when a mommy needs a break! Compared to the other brand we use, he actually seems to be able to keep this one in his mouth easier than others. Lastly the set has a bottle brush, which is a nice addition so you have everything you need, but it is a bottle brush and there is nothing special about it. I was given this bottle set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. My baby is exclusively breast-fed, but I like to have bottles on hand if I'm ever away and baby needs to eat. I've also learned from my other kids (and mom friends) that all babies are different and have different preferences on nipples/pacifiers. A start pack like this phillips is great whether or not you know your baby will take to this nipple. The price point is just right and comes with a complete starter pack to test it out. Unfortunately, my baby did not take to this nipple, but I would still recommend this set. I so appreciated that it came with everything that a baby could need/want. I appreciated the different sized bottles so even though my baby does not have a preference for this nipple now, maybe she will down the road. The bottle brush is a great bonus because I'm always on the hunt for brushes to clean out bottles and even my older kid's sippy cups! I also appreciated the easy design of this set; not difficult to assemble or clean. The only con I could see from this set is that the nipple starts at a one. I have always started my babies at a 0 and only one of my kids even got to a 1. They were content with the 0 flow. Despite my baby not wanting this set, I definitely would give as a gift or place on a baby registry. Great price point, nice complete set, and great features that a lot of babies could benefit from.
