Philips Norelco i9000 Prestige UltraWet&Dry Electric Shaver with SenseIQ Pro

i9000 Presige Ultra XP9401/93 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver with SenseIQ is the best electric shaving experience I have had in my 55 years of using an electric shaver.

Didn’t expect much of an upgrade, I was completely wrong. The i9000 gives a noticeably smoother shave, and it still handles the job well even when I’ve let things grow out for a few days longer than I should have. The included attachments are all genuinely useful. My one caveat: I loaded the companion Shaver app but didn’t find it worth using day to day. That said, I do rely on the color indicator on the head, it’s a simple, effective way to tell whether I’m applying the right amount of pressure. Would recommend.

I have owned 3 Phillips shavers over the past 25+ years, and this one is the best yet. The shaver has a great feel and a number of electronic innovations. The save is very smooth, and there is light around the shaving head that changes colors and lets you know if you are applying too much pressive (very little pressure is needed against the skin. It is pricey, but in this user's opinion, and with the service life of Phillips shavers, it is well worth the investment.

It was time to replace my old shaver and I wanted one that did not require a stand to always be plugged in to recharge. After a lot of waffling over specific models, I decided to go ahead and purchase this offering. I am quite happy with it, the shaves are close and the combination of shaver and sanitizer provides ample cord-free shaving time. The one thing I find could be improved is the pictograph-based user manual. There are not enough pictures presented to clearly describe all the features -- I still have not comfortably decoded the cleaning cycle using the supplied cleaning fluid. The GroomTribe app is somewhat over the top (it clearly is not necessary to use the shaver), but nonetheless fun. It would be better if the USB cable was Type C instead of Type A.

What can I say? This thing forced my Braun Series 7 into early retirement!

Very quick and sanitary charging. Nice shave that does a great job without being hard on skin.

Great shaver. But...7 year warranty? Box says 2 years despite advertising of 7 years. So I registered it and got back the confirmation of warranty. Yikes. I bought on 7/21 and received in mail 7/23/26. Confirmation of warranty says purchased 7/21 26, and that warranty expires 7/21/26, same as the purchase. And of course the warranty confirmation email cannot be responded to. What is going on here?

I've used Norelco for years and a have always been totally pleased. This is even better than any Norelco I've used before.

I was apprehensive about spending the extra money for the i9000, as I previously used Norelco mid priced shavers. But this is a game changer. First shave close, no irritation, took less than 2 minutes to shave a moderate heavy beard.

I like the fact that the shaver has a setting for sensitive skin that allow me to shave every day if I want without irritating my face. I also like the hinge on the blades allowing me to rinse them in warm water after each shave to keep them clean. I use the cleaning system about every two weeks to assure the blades are clean and lubricated. I also periodically take a blade apart to assure that it is not building dirt.
