Philips Norelco i9000 Prestige UltraWet&Dry Electric Shaver with SenseIQ Pro

I was in the military for over 30 years and always used a razor (daily). Lately, I started to develop a few irritating bumps after shaving so I decided to try an electric razor and honestly, I was very skeptical. I was even more skeptical and hesitant about spending as much as I did on this razor but figured I wanted the best I could get and the reviews backed it up. The shave is amazingly close; clean-up is a breeze; the time it takes to recharge and how long it holds a charge is great; and the information shared by the app is very helpful. My only complaint about this razor is the trimmer attachment. I was extremely disappointed that such a worthless trimmer attachment came with such an expensive and otherwise outstanding electric shaver. I wish there was a better trimmer attachment and will be shopping to see if one is available.

I have very sensitive skin and my traditional razor with shaving cream was making my skin look blotchy so I thought I would give this razor a try and haven’t stopped using it since. If you have sensitive skin it’s highly recommended. It’s highly recommended if you don’t have sensitive skin . The only thing I could suggest is maybe adding a nose hair trimmer attachment to the package would’ve loved to have had that. so regardless of your skin type, I highly suggest this razor you’ll be happy you bought it and it’s performance thank you for making such a wonderful product

I owned an old Norelco 6891XL that served me well for many years. When it finally wore out, I tried several lower-priced Norelco models (both corded and cordless), but none held a candle to the closeness and quality of my original. Out of frustration, I even switched brands and bought a new Braun shaver from Costco a few months ago. Same result: a poor shave and disappointing performance. After doing a deep dive into research, I landed on the i9000 Prestige Ultra. It’s pricey, but this is definitely a case of getting what you pay for. It works just as well as my original old-school Norelco. It provides a smooth, thorough shave, and I rarely have to clean up stray hairs with a manual razor anymore. If you are tired of mediocre results from standard, budget-friendly shavers, this one is worth the investment. My faith in electric shavers has officially been restored.

I can't say enough positive things about this shaver. Ultimately, you want a shaver that gives a close, comfortable shave and the i9000 does this better than any past Norelco (and I'm had most of them for the past 40 + years). Besides the shave itself, I love the fact that the operation is quiet. My wife can be sleeping in the bedroom and she will not hear me shaving in our ensuite. I also appreciate the fact that I can easily clean and lubricate the i9000 in the Quick Clean pod. Lastly, although I don't make a lot of use of the Groomtribe app, it does provide me with information relating to my technique (which evidently is very good) as well as my battery health and the life expectancy of my blades. The i9000 came with an excellent travel case, a nose hair trimmer and a sideburn/beard trimmer as well. Could it be improved? I would welcome a full-fledged cleaning station that not only cleaned and lubricated but also dried the blades. As it is, I need to remove the shaver later in the day to air dry it in an open position on the counter top. I would also welcome a built-in trimmer as opposed to one that is an accessory. I realize that these changes would probably necessitate a redesign of the blade shape since the pentagonal heads allow it to rest in the QC pod. Well... in a perfect world the blades would return to a round shape and the cleaning station would somewhat resemble what we once had in earlier shavers. However, I'm perfectly content with my i9000 and would highly recommend it to men who have troublesome neck hairs as well as men who like to shaver every other day given the shaver's ability to easily deal with longer hair.

It gives a great shave and the daily clean cycle is an extremely nice feature.

This shaver offers the closest shave possible, in my opinion. Also....kudos to whoever designed this shaver in the way that it positions in your hand. Great job!

I’ve had several Norelco shavers in my life but I think this one is probably the best one I’ve ever had. So far it hasn’t let me down and gives the closest and smoothest shaves of all that I have ever owned. It charges fast and and cleans up just as quickly. If you’re looking for a premium shaver then this is the one you want. I managed to find it on Amazon when it was on sale. At any rate this is one great shaver!

Absolutely the best, smartest, most informative razor, that I have ever owned. It is also the most comfortable and close-shaving.

I always used Philips electric shavers, specifically after I exhausted all the possibilities with shaving with all the top brands of multiple blades, and my face was bleeding from them every time I used them. Since I used the first Philips shaving machine till this day I am thankful for this technology
