How do I connect my Philips DVD/VCR product to my television and to my signal source?

ONLY the DVD output of this unit will play through either of the below connections. To watch the VCR or an external tuner, you will need to use the connections in the above section.

You may either

1. Connect a single S-Video cable (not supplied) to the S-VIDEO OUT jack on the DVD/VCR and to the S-VIDEO IN jack on the TV.

or

1. Connect three component video cables to the Red, Blue and Green COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the DVD/VCR and to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN jacks on the TV.

2. With either connection you will also need to connect the red and white DVD AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD/VCR to the red and white AUDIO IN jacks on the TV using RCA (Composite) type cables

You will run the connect from the external tuner (Cable or Satellite box) to the Philips DVP Product as follows

1. Connect the red and white audio RCA (Composite) cable (supplied) to the red and white AUDIO OUT jacks on the external tuner and to the red and white VCR AUDIO IN jacks on the DVD/VCR.

2. Connect the yellow RCA (Composite) video cable (supplied) to the yellow VIDEO OUT jack on the external tuner and to the VCR VIDEO IN jack on the DVD/VCR.
