2 year warranty
First you need to connect the Philips DVP product to your television. In order to enjoy optimal signals from both the VCR and the DVD outputs of the Philips DVP product. You will need to connect several sets of cables. We will start with the VCR Output of the DVP product:
Connect 2 RCA (Composite) type cables (typically these are red and white in color, but any RCA Cable can be used) to the red and white DVD/VCR AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD/VCR and to the red and white AUDIO IN jacks on the TV.
Connect an RCA (Composite) type cable (typically this would be a yellow cable, but any RCA Cable can be used) to the DVD/VCR VIDEO OUT jack on the DVD/VCR and to the VIDEO IN jack on the TV.
Note: This connection can be used for both DVD and VCR outputs but the DVD playback quality will be poor. We only recommend using this output for DVD playback on older Televisions that do not have SVHS or Component inputs. If your TV has Component or SVHS inputs, please proceed to the next section.
