It is a normal behavior of this TV set to have the channel display continuously on the screen for about 10 minutes. You can remove the channel display by:

1. Press the 'MENU' button on the remote control.
2. Press the cursor up/down to select SETUP and press cursor right.
3. Press the cursor up/down to select PREFERENCES and press cursor right.
4. Press the cursor up/down to MENU PREFERENCESand press cursor right.
5. Press the cursor up/down to select OSDand press cursor right.
6. Press the cursor up/down to select MINUMUM and press the 'OK' button.
7. Press the 'MENU' button to exit the menu.

NOTE:
If you remove the channel display number, the volume bar indicator will also not be displayed on the screen when you try to adjust the volume control.

You can download software that will reduce the amount of time the channel is displayed.
