Details: IPL does not permanently remove hair. Instead, pulses of light are absorbed by the hair root, causing the hair follicle to enter a resting phase. Because hair grows in cycles, repeated treatments are needed to treat hairs in their active growth phase. Over time, some follicles can become active again, so maintenance treatments are recommended to help maintain long-term hair reduction. Philips Lumea IPL is designed to be used every two weeks during the initial treatment phase, followed by maintenance treatments once every four weeks.
