What is UV-C LED technology?

The UV-C wavelength emitted from the Philips GoZero Smart bottle are optimized at 280 nanometer to eliminate up to 99.999% of waterborne pathogens (viruses and bacteria) by breaking down their DNA before they have a chance to spread, making the water safe to drink. Compared to the conventional mercury-based UV technology, the UV-C LED technology in the Philips GoZero Smart bottle is chemical-free (non-mercury base) and environmentally-friendly as it can pass through air without creating ozone.
