In a SFN (Single Frequency Network) environment, a more direction sensitive antenna is preferred.
A gitter antenna (which is the least direction sensitive) can cause a bad signal because it easily captures multiple broadcast antennas in this environment.
Gitter antennas are also marketed as digital antennas.
