Some HDTVs have special video processing enhancements, such as Digital Natural Motion and Noise Reduction, that can slightly delay the video causing the audio and video to be out of sync. The sync problem also may be caused by the distance of the speakers from your listening position.
Digital Natural Motion enhances the video to make the picture smoother. In doing so up to a 200 millisecond delay may occur to the video, causing the audio to be ahead of the video if the audio is being played through an external source such as a home theater. To correct for this problem you can either adjust the speaker delay in the home theater settings or turn off the TV’s enhanced video processing (Digital Natural Motion). If you are using a video game system adjust the lag settings in the gaming system if available.
