Frequently Asked Questions

My Philips Sonicare Breath Analyzer score stays low after eating pungent foods

The Philips Sonicare Breath Analyzer detects gasses that cause bad breath. Smelly foods like onion of garlic are not measured by the Breath Analyzer.

A low score is a good thing

A low score means you have been doing a good job cleaning your mouth. The Philips Sonicare Breath Care Breath Analyzer detects VSCs: gasses produced by bacteria on and between your teeth or on your tongue. It does not detect food odors, such as garlic, or drink odors, such as coffee or alcohol. Your scores might fluctuate a little after meals, but this differs per person.
