The MP3 player might be a good product but, to be honest I wouldn't know. I haven't been able to get it to work.I tried loading the software and nothing happened and it seems it won't even hold a charge. I tried numerous times and eventually just quit trying. It won't work

so close! This is so close to being an ideal MP3 player that I had to write a review, in hopes that the folks at Phillips will take note. The ergonomics of this player are really great -- except for one glaring problem: the volume buttons are over on the side of the player, and very difficult to operate. On the front of the player are eight buttons, nicely designed, and easy to operate "by touch" with your thumb -- in other words, you can operate the buttons with one hand, without looking. But for some reason the designers decided not to use these buttons to control volume -- even though two of them seem to have been intended for that purpose. The chrome "up" and "down" buttons have no function during normal playback -- and these would be the perfect buttons to control volume.
I'm guessing the problem was that the designers wanted to disable these buttons when the "hold" switch was on, but they still wanted to be able to control volume, so their solution was to put separate volume buttons on the side of the player. They apparently didn't test the design, or else they would have realized that these volume buttons are opposite the headphone jack, which makes it even more difficult to apply the necessary pressure to activate them.
I'm hoping there's a firmware fix! Please allow volume to be controlled by the chrome buttons on the front of the player!
