    Blu-ray home theater system

    HTS3106/F7

My audio and video are out of sync using a Philips Home Theater connected to a television, how do I fix this?

Some HDTVs have special video processing enhancements, such as Digital Natural Motion and Noise Reduction, that can slightly delay the video causing the audio and video to be out of sync. The sync problem also may be caused by the distance of the speakers from your listening position.

To correct the audio sync problem you can disable the special video processing enhancements on your TV set and/or adjust the speaker distance setting on the home theater.

    Speaker Distance Adjustments: HTS3251B/F7, HTS3051B/F7, HTS3051BV/F7
Press the “Home” button on the remote.
    Select “Settings”
    Select “Advanced Setup”
    Select “Speaker Setup”
    Select “Speaker Distance
Set the distance each speaker is located from your normal listening position. Ask yourself how far away the speakers are from you while you are watch the TV.

    Speaker Distance Adjustments: HTS3371D/F7, HTS3372D/F7
Press the “Setup” button on the remote.
    Select “Audio Setup”
    Select “Speaker Delay”
Set the number of milliseconds you need for the delay. Ask yourself how far away the speakers are from you while you are watch the TV? Allow 1ms setting for every 1 foot distance between the speaker and the listening position. Set a longer delay time if the center speaker or rear speaker is closer to the listening position than the front speaker.

    Speaker Distances Adjustments: HTS3306/F7, HTS3106/F7, HTS5506/F7

    Select “Speaker Setup”
    Select “Speaker Distance
Set the distance each speaker is located from your normal listening position. Ask yourself how far away the speakers are from you while you are watch the TV.

    Speaker Distance Adjustments: HTS5580W
Press the “Home” button on the remote.
    Select “Setup”
    Select “Audio”
    Select “Speaker Setup”
Set the distance each speaker is located from your normal listening position. Ask yourself how far away the speakers are from you while you are watch the TV.

Note: If you are using a Philips TV that features Digital Natural Motion you may need to disable that feature to stop the audio sync problem. The Digital Natural Motion can create up to 200 milliseconds of lag. The lag is only noticeable if you are using the audio on the Home Theater System and not the TV speakers.
