Been Working Great!
My car stereo died and since my smartphone has an FM radio built into it, I just plug the phone's headphone jack into this speaker. I mostly listen to NPR News when driving. It cranks up pretty loud (I have loud exhaust on my truck), is clear, and has a surprisingly long battery life. I try not to recharge it until it needs it so make the battery last longer. When the permanent rechargeable battery eventually dies permanently, the speaker will be useless. The long cord is really helpful for acting as the antenna; I wrap it over the rearview mirror.

Perfect design, high quality, great features!
I absolutely love my Philiips speakers. I have owned them for over a year and don't' leave home without them; camping, the beach, cook-outs, or just outside on my patio. The sound quality is above average for the size of the unit. I can listen to my favorite music or sporting events through my phone.
One of the best features is that the battery is rechargable and the 8 hour play time is very accurate!
Since I use them so much, I am planning to by another set for when I wear out the current unit #which is inevitable#.

Right out of the box this speaker did not work.
The design is great. All you have to do is plug it in, but it HAS to work. There is no getting around that fact.
All I could hear was static and occasionally a beat. There were no vocals at all.
I will be taking this back and trying a different brand.
