How can I connect a device that only has a DVI output to my Philips TV?

To connect both sound and picture will require a DVI to HDMI adaptor and a seperate audio cable. This is because DVI only transmits Video signals

Follow these steps to connect the devices:

  1. Switch the external device and the TV off.
  2. Connect the DVI-to-HDMI adapter from the 'DVI' connection of the external device to the 'HDMI 3' connection at the rear of the TV.
  3. Connect the audio cable from the 'AUDIO OUT' connection of the external device to the 'DVI AUDIO IN L R' connection at the rear of the TV.
  4. Switch the external device and the TV on.
  5. Press the 'SOURCE' button on the remote control repeatedly to select HDMI 3 and press the 'OK' button to accept.
