Rated 4 out of 5 by JimMom This Product Is An Upgrade from my 1080P Philips ...
Yes, my wife and I upgraded to this 4K Philips from our 55" 1080P Philips. We still have the 1080P but, we will now be using it in our basement as a second TV. Mostly the price caught our attention however, with the wonderful operations of our 1080P we thought we'd continue with using a Philips TV. And, unlike the 1080P this upgrade has the ability to use apps that I used online with our tablet and phone plus many others. However, we'll be able stream and to watch 2K and 4K content. A great Bonus... Thanks Philips ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Motster Fantastic TV!
My last 2 living room TVs were Philips. They still work (10 plus years) but I just wanted to upgrade to the latest tech. With that said, the 55PFL6921 model is an awesome 4K modern tv with internet connection and google's chromecast built in.
The TV is very lightweight at around 35 lbs. It's easy to setup physically. Color balance is fantastic. There are many enhanced video and sound options you can choose from. For me, I like everything standard. TV picture is visible at sharp angles and good with medium window sunlight.
These days, most important part is connectivity. This TV has a ethernet port. I plugged it into my router and it worked immediately. The specs say wifi is also an option, but I don't actually see a wifi configuration option anywhere in the manual or on the TV options.
Chromecast beats any smart TV operating system hands down! The process to set up chromecast which they call Google Cast here is the same as a standalone chromecast. Only hiccup I ran into is that after setup, I had to update the firmware and restart the TV to get it working. Otherwise, the setup screen didn't refresh but my mobile Google Home app told me it was ready to go. Even if you didn't want to use chromecast, you can plug in your favorite steaming device and it would still work. I also use Roku as it has a easier interface for less tech savvy people in the family.
Overall, I'm very pleased with Philips TVs!
