Can I clean the filters and pre-filter of my Philips Air Purifier?
For optimal performance in purification, please maintain the filter(s) of your Philips Air Purifier, 2in1 Air Purifier and Humidifier or 2in1 Air Purifier and Dehumidifier. Read the article below to learn more about filter cleaning.
You can clean or wash the pre-filter (indicated as C in the image below).
The other filters (indicated as A and B in the image below) cannot be washed: they need to be replaced. Please check your user manual to see replacement indications specific to your model.
Note: the images are generic representative only. There can be some differences among specific appliances.
The cylindrical filter is with layers of the filter, and the pre-filter is at the surface (indicated as D in the image below). When the filter cleaning alert (Figure 1) displays on the screen, clean the filter surface with a vacuum cleaner. When the filter replacement alert (Figure 2) displays on the screen, it’s time to replace the filter. Please check your user manual to see replacement indications specific to your model.
Note: There is no filter cleaning alert on some Philips Air Purifiers. Please follow the cleaning schedule and instructions on the user manual specific to your model.
The pre-filter (indicated as A in the image below) is integrated with the rear cover of your appliance. When the filter cleaning alert displays, please clean the pre-filter under the tap or with a vacuum cleaner. The filter (indicated as B) is not washable nor reusable, please replace it when the replacement alert appears on the screen.
